I'm not so special. I'm a fairly useless flake-of-sorts (not even a complete flake, how do you like that) with some raw creative talent I guess, but that is just about it.

Thank you for that. Yeah, putting on airs is exhausting, isn't it? We have to do it to some extent just to interact with people and society, but it can be kept to a minimum. I get tired of the fear of being found out, so I just say it. I don't necessarily deserve what I have, not much separates me from, say, panhandlers except money and finding more effective ways to zone in on making money than panhandling.

You make some rather interesting points, no we are really no different then panhandlers, yes it takes time, effort to get the attention of the audience who reads, follows your material.

Marketing, has drastically changed over the years, but the one formula in marketing that has not is the forgotten one, the personal touch, engaging with your readers, provide feed back on what they have posted, wrote shared or what ever it is they have done.

There is no over night magical dust that will take any one of us to the milk and honey, unless you win a lottery ticket... that may happen, but not for many of us...

    Hard work and dedication is the magical dust, that could lead you to the big fish... perhaps a tuna.... :}

thanks for your feed back... Vancouver is a great city been there several times.... nothing like fresh air....

Wish more would think this way, leadership is a lost commodity in this era or marketing, business no one has them bulls they use to have back then... it is all about joining another useless affiliated program,,, please there some good ones out there....

Leadership, has direction to the correct destination....

What makes me so special, hmmmmm?

      Persistence is the main one!

Spent 6 years online, with failure and dead ends, being the norm. The only reason l am starting to succeed now, is the above quality!

But l suspect that it might not be such a special quality here?

Shane the key to any area of success is the ability to understand you have what it takes. Not always about the money, not at all... Here is an example...

My mom and sister for so many years where part of the David Stewart (Yes the pitcher for the Blue Jays and Oakland) when he came to Toronto, he donated his Christmas time to a very special program, feeding the homeless a Christmas dinner...

My mom, and sister would spend Christmas day feeding the homeless, then came home to spend time with her family. I never understood or appreciated it until about 5 or 6 years ago, what it really meant to have a special gift.

They all had one, just not measured the same way as money is....

But time is the only item you can never buy, donating your time is a special gift....

We all have that... we just take it for granted!!!

Nope not at all, what makes us all different, not really a bad thing, other words we would all be bored... Money is good... but it flows like a fountain... so that part is done.... why time is the hardest to dedicate or donate,.... hell most of us can buy anything we want... we just have a hard time with donating our time....

    Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us . . . in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions.

But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain . . .

    and an athlete . . .

    and a basket case . . .

    a princess . . .

    and a criminal.

    Does that answer your question?

    Sincerely yours,
    The Breakfast Club

make any sense....l think it does...

Arrrr, not sure about that??? Most people would want to buy a Mansion, (not a McMansion, but a real one) but don't have the 1 - 3 million to do it, or a big enough income or assets to borrow enough from a bank to do it!

Others may need a few million in order to freely give out advise that would help humanity, (not talking about religion)!

If you freely give some of your time, then there is a limit to how much you can give, (not taking a Mother Teresa type influence).

But if you go for a large financial goal, then it might take a good 10 years to reach the million financial mark, but apart from reaching your own goals, you also have the power and substantial flow of money to look at this planet see the unbalanced flow of power or control of information and balance the scales!

For me if l have a choice between an income, and giving my time, or creating wealth and possibly helping the world, l will go with option B!

But as l said, not everyone wants to be a millionaire, but most do, or seem to?

There is nothing wrong with desire to become Rich, hell l have thought of that most of my life, been there lost it... How it works at times peaks and valleys... they come and they go, if your focused on getting back up on your feet and start the challenge all over again.

The only thing l learn from having money, was it was much easier to be miserable and rich then it was to be miserable and poor...

Money can control many of our inner emotions, money provides us with how we react to many situations, how will address them... as long as you have access to money then you do have that power and ability to make it a much smoother ride....

I am not special, I just work hard Am persistent, have motivation (if not I create it) and etc. I love information technology, I love psychology and I love many unrelated things, and then people say - there are no many such people with so different hobbies and interests. And I think that world is kinda strange and crazy - From my perspective.

What makes me special is my drive, strength, and determination.

The thing is, I've been at the bottom. I've had to eat at soup kitchens and wear dead people's clothes. I've faced living on the street. I lost everything but I survived, I made it through and now I'm free of the fear of "What if I fail?"

I can force myself to ignore comfort for gain. I know I can take control of my own life because I've done it. I can create a plan and follow it to success. I don't hold myself back.

10 years ago I would never have imagined I'd be living the life I enjoy right now.

To put it simply: I want it more than anyone else and I'm willing to do what I have to in order to get it.

That is one incredible story you have just shared, hats off to "YOU," and the will power you have.

You definitely have the determination to over come what you had to endure along the way to what l feel you have found, success. Yes it took some time to get there but guess what you did, if you can do so can so many others who face worse circumstance then you had too.

There is always someone worse then us, my dad use to say that to us all the time.

Life is what you make it to be.... Fear at times robs us from our desires and goals....l wrote this article a long time ago...

I'm no more or no less special than anyone else. What makes me, "me" is the way I think, speak, and do, which is all based on personal past experiences, the way I internalized them and whether I learned and grew from them coupled with trying to maintain positive attitude through it all.

If you think I'm special, thank you!

If you don't, that's fine too, it just means you have stinking thinking! I kid, I kid!

If you don't, that's fine too as I have learned not to be moved by other people's thoughts and opinions of me therefore avoiding being tossed to and fro in the wind. I look at it this way...If someone has a problem with me, that is their problem to bear, not mine, for life is too short to be anything but happy.

Terra "YOUR SPECIAL' no l am not yelling either just make that statement as clear as possible..

You shared some important aspect of how people do judge or make that first impression of us, how we conduct ourselves in front of people we determine them to make an impression of us.

The old saying is you only get one shot at making a lasting impression, the words you use will be a reminder as well as the manner you present in front of them...

We have seen this over and over at meetings, parties etc... etc... what we can do is learn from our mistake and move on.... life is way too short to dwelling on mistakes....

Well, what makes ME special is that I'm fearless and you might have to go to places that make you extremely uncomfy to try to evict me.

Know what else makes me special? I'm stupid. I have no clue if I have limitations or not. Never ever stopped to think about it. I decide I want something and I"m after it full force. And I'm arrogant, too. I've had people tell me "you can't do that" or the one I really get a kick out of "owww - you're to old to do that" -- and I laugh at them right to their faces because I already did it and then I ask them if they want to do it with me next time I go do it. People hate that crap. They really hate it.

As far as competitors? I don't know if I'm "ahead" of them or not. Totally irrelevant in my world. I know there were some people that were gonna try to be competitors. They mostly have a link to my site on theirs now. That's what ya call networking and I find it more fun than worrying about who I'm keeping ahead of . Ya know - sometimes there's snakes or quicksand around and being first on the trail isn't all it's cracked up to be.
