So You Get Rich thru IM, What Would You Do?

Suddenly your IM methods strike gold. Autopilot hands free income streaming into your accounts. You put up more of these little goldmines now and again, you make more. Mainly you just check it now and again.

Your earning 20-30k a month on autopilot. Its safe and consistant. You quit your job.

So much time on your hands. No ties perhaps? Your not immediately a millionare, just financially well solvent and safely so!

What would you do?

I have this dream!

I would rent a stateroom with a balcony on one of those giant Cruise Ships like Royal Carribean. (Went on a 10 day cruise with them, loved it) and cruise slowly around the world. A different port every day or so. Time to explore. All food catered for, laundry done. Casino on board! Yeah!

What about you?

I wouldn't be doing much different. Would keep writing, but I'd be able to travel a little more frequently to do my rock and gem hunting in places I really can't get to now. Life would continue as normal.

Imagine sitting on your balcony though looking at the sea and surf. Writing. Gem and rock hunting abroad. Ahh.

I'd spend the money how I deemed fit, but I wouldn't be so mean as to not allocate a tiny, weeny portion of it to get you some dream rehabilitation therapy. DOING IT is far better than DREAMING ABOUT IT.

I would do exactly what I'm doing now. Writing, teaching, goofing off when I want to.

Mansions? A year long cruise? They sound great in a dream, but that's not what real wealthy people do.

I may buy a new personality. This one's wearing thin.

I watched some of your performances on you-tube the other night. Personality still looks strong. :-) Brilliant acting and the plot lines keep you guessing!

Your not wealthy enough in being super rich (in this senario) and having Hollywood mansions. You have enough regular income to do the cruise thing in style though or something similar. No need to work.

So your work is your passion then, what you most like to do? surely there's something you'd like to do though now you can!

Statistically, when a lot of people retire from jobs they do great for a year and then get fed up, despondent, directionless. Quite a few get ill and die fairly early. So perhaps the human condition for us is to work and feel useful and make a difference!

Programmed by our culture or built into our genetic makeup? That's another thread.

I have picked the cruise so that I can continue to mentally stimulate myself by visiting lots of places. Abet at a leisurely pace.

              .
Insightful. I don't really have a passion anymore. I'll be 59 in two days, and I'm getting ready to semi-retire. Just write books, speak once in a while, and study.

I want what I do to have value. Sure, I get paid for it, usually pretty well. But passing on what I've learned, is how I answer the question "Why am I here?"

To me, it would be deadly boring just having fun. My wife and I figured out that $250,000 a year is the most we could ever spend. We would never do anything that cost more than that. It simply isn't what either of us want.

I sell for a living. You want to know the real definition of "salesman heaven"? Not needing a sale. Not caring if they buy or not. I'm there now.

I keep doing it because I don't want to lose the skill. But it won't always be important to me.

              Life is pretty good.

This thread is proving most interesting so far (to me anyway, but I'm doing it as a covert survey for Dan Riffle) but need more replies.

Seems so far, people actually enjoy what they are doing and would continue doing it for the joy and sense of achievement and personal satisfaction. The only difference is that some would do it from a nicer house on a beach or take a few more vacations, nothing dramatic like I'd thought. Highly commendable.

In a way, its like an addiction, success on your own terms is the drug, your high! To find a way and succeed, even if you have to work hard at it. Better than anything!

Is it more relevant to people who work for themselves than people who work for others though?

Well, interesting Stats and stories in the UK I hear about people who win life changing millions on the tax free lotto. "Well we are buying a bigger house, a car and a house for Ma and Pa, going on a vacation. Then its back to work in the factory I have been in for 30 years" Yes, heard that one many times.

And, Claude is about 2 years older than me and its his birthday on Monday. Prepare your gift threads now. :-)

I look forward to your 5 dollar contribution. :-)

This is a what if senario of course. Achieving a set, safe income is just the means to my lifestyle dream end. Working on that!

But having made that level of income are you going to just say, I want to go on doing it and just sit there building more income or being satisfied and going on that slow cruise or whatever. Some people actually like the money making and it is their hobby and passion. Others say well now I am financially free enough to do this I WILL!

So your not going to tell us? Would it not change anything?

Why would I ever want to strap myself to a beach of all things? That's some sort of bling or silliness or dream for someone else. I like mountains. Mountain cabin with a few fireplaces - maybe a few small cabins for visitors around the acreage. A shop for my lapidary. And a gentle giant dog for my best companion. Don't really know why I'd need or want anything more than that.

Leave the beaches for the hotdogger crowds.

That means I have to keep working. My deal is 20-30k a month, hands free and lets say for argument, cost of living index linked. Rest of your life!

Do you just want to make more moneyyy or....

I'd buy a house on a secluded beach and write novels all day.

Should achieve that within the next 5 years!

But l would initially be off to a luxery hotel overlooking the beach and palm trees for a week or two!

Then try out every cocktail they have, (one per night) but the first night l would just sit there, for a while then post here!

Obviously l would rub it in a little bit, but l would also write a candid autobiography on how l exactly got there!

So to help newbies and more seasoned IM, ers!

And then sprinkle a little more salt about, can't be sitting there with my Laptop overlooking the sun setting over the ocean without being a smarta****!

But in a nice way! He, he! :p

After that the usual, chance the world, find conclusive proof that UFO's are real, usual stuff!
