I'd do it. From the picture of the car below the video and the way it stays on the track, it looks like a lot of fun.

Well I do have to admit judging by the terrain, if you crashed and burned you're in for a world of hurting or you even may be taking an elevator ride down to the Horny devils crib.

I'd do it - looks like fun! But I'd ask to see their safety record first I think.
Also joseph7384 I know a few girls who are anything but 'sissy' and may very well get rather annoyed with you for using that sexist sounding term in your thread title!

    Cheers.

It's not a sexist term at all, it was widely popular in Ace Ventura's when nature calls.

And it doesn't refer to women, a lot of men are sissy girls, and I know of women that are tougher then nails.

Then perhaps Ace Ventura is sexist then?
Whatever the case, a gender is mentioned and it is done so in a derogatory sounding way. Intentional or otherwise.

Wishing you the best. And go the gals!

Cool Joseph. I think 'sissy girl' can be offensive and I am a man! You see, if a male has fears or reservations about doing something he is sometimes called a 'sissy girl'. As though, somehow his masculinity is in question if he chooses not to participate.

Great ride by the way - bring it on!

PS - No-one asked you to change the thread title. I was just expressing an opinion. Not a crime! Cheers.

I would have done it when I was young. Now, maybe, but I'd want to inspect it in person and ask some questions first. That's the thing about getting older, prudence has a tighter grip on you.

The only thing I'm offended about is that you seem to think that a woman wouldn't have a riot doing this. Of course, I don't live in some dweeb's mind who thinks that women are weak little muffins that need to be protected. I live in America where women are real people.

Jab over -- they've got something similar in Colorado up by Winter park. Not quite as long or extreme - it's built more like a bobsled run - two tracks rather than one. It's a riot. I would LOVE to play on the one in video. It's long enough to actually get a great ride out of it.

    Good lord, people. Lighten up.

If you read for comprehension, rather than to be offended, you'd know that "sissy girl" refers to a girl who's a sissy. It's a subset of "girl," which, ipso facto, means not all girls are sissies.

That said, I would ride it, but probably scream like a sissy girl the entire time.

Actually - whenever I've heard "sissy girl" in use........it's referring to a guy. Sometimes that type of guy is called "Nancy", too.

My reading comprehension is fine. I'm just not getting the "easily offended" part. Why would a woman be offended by a little risky but really fun looking ride? Serious. WTF?

You can slow it down with your body, however, you have to be real careful not to lose your balance. About like skis or a snow board. It's all in the lean.

Sal I wasn't insinuating that women are afraid of such a ride, My original title read
"Would you try this or chicken out like a sissy girl???", but another member took it as if I was degrading women or something like that so I changed the title to,
"Disclaimer: If you are a women and easily offened, do not open this thread!!!".

I was not at all meaning that women are to sissy to try this ride, as I stated in an above post that I know women that are tougher then nails.

Well that ride wouldn't bother my stomach a bit but try and put me on one of those free falling rides such as the Giant drop at Six Flags and you'll hear me scream like a sissy girl.

Demon Drop - Cedar Point, Ohio.

I love the rides - I did three days of roller coasters when I moved out of Michigan. We stopped at Cedar Point on our way out. I went on the Demon Drop - but it was the last ride of the day and I came very close to not going back the next day. It was horrifying. I might just do it again sometime though.

Still nothing compared to the Farris Wheel, though. Of all the roller coasters and other rides I've been on -- of all the stupid things -- The Farris Wheel scares the crap out of me. I hate those things.

Ooooh that ride looks fun. It's a good long run too.

I've seen two other variations of that coaster, and these things are popular in ski towns as a way to attract tourists during the summer.

They have one here in Park City that runs on a track similar to that one, and another with two side-by-side tracks in which two people can have a race to the finish.

Adults and kids, men and women ride them. What fun.

Another added attraction in the Park City area is the Olympic Bobsled run. A driver from the US Bobsled Team, takes three tourist down the track in a four-man (okay, a four-person) bobsled. During winter, they use a regular sled, and during summer, they put a set of wheels on it. It goes like the wind - much faster than the one in the video.

The money paid to ride goes towards support of the Olympic team and is tax deductable! Who knew? And afterward they give you a license plate holder for your car, a holder that says, "I Survived The Ride."
