Russell Johnson who played Professor Roy Hinkley on Gilligan's Island passed away last Thursday aged 89.

Yep, heard that on the radio yesterday. I use to love that show. RIP, Professor. As Whateverpedia said, that just leaves just Dawn Wells and Tina Louise still alive from the regular cast, and Dawn is 75 and Tina is 79.

I'm so surprised that he actually survived Gilligan.

Duplication -- you must not have seen the sequel. They got off the island and came back and made it a resort. So yeah, they got off it, but the Professor may very well have requested to be buried there anyway.

I can't believe I used to watch that regularly as a kid, but that cast entertained me pretty well.

  Yeah, it is sick how addicting TV is. And how strong is curiousity? I mean I may watch a show because of an ad showing one part, quickly figure out the WHOLE show, and STILL watch to see if the author got there the SAME way!
