What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Oh but you did! May I remind you of your post number 40,456, where you postulated that attaching a bright led flashlight to Dan's head and spinning him on a Lazy Susan would cause a Riffle in the space time continuum thus revealing the secrets of the universe.

It's brilliant though, how to see dark matter, find a really good lamp.

        Hmmm

Dark Matter is a made up concept to explain why the speed of universal expansion seems to be speeding up rather than slowing down from the original Big Bang - Not Proven and "just another theory".

So what's that got todo with Marketing then .

Dark matter was also originally theorized to explain the missing, undetected material that makes up a lot of the universe. In fact, something out there not seen accounts for the majority of the material in our universe. Based on the calculations, what is visible and detectable just did not account for it all by a long shot. As you say, it also could explain why its alleged gravitational effects could be making the universe continue to expand. At least for now.

Marketing: a Dark Matter website reporting all the latest theories and news/evidence, laced with adsense ads for educational establishments and Amazon ads selling Quantum Theory and Space Science/astronomy books and telescopes etc. There's always an angle.

Yes indeed I will give you that - but Dark Matter is still an unproven theory meant to try to make another theory valid - and from a marketing point of view, the word "Dark" is always frowned upon - but normally when associated with SEO "Dark SEO" which does sound cool , as does dark blue which sounds a bit like DOMESTOS eeek.

I wish they would just call it "Unseen matter". As it is, it gets confused with exotic ideas like Anti-matter.

An impressive funny post. Not quite "Riffle funny", but darn close. You show real promise.
