Did you notice the 286-Based computer with the 20 megabyte hard drive for only $1,599?

          Steve,

You can get CB radio and police scanner apps for the iPad, which means you can probably get them for the iPhone, too. And I have hardware here to scan VHS tapes to MP4 video.

There are some pretty powerful external speakers designed to be used with cell phones, too.

And the M/S software? Why bother? The stuff you can run on any decent smartphone is light years ahead of what those MS/DOS machines ran. Not to mention having a faster Internet connection than they supported.

In 1990, I got one of the first Amiga 3000s. 6 mgs of ram, a 50 meg hard drive, and a 25 mhz 68030 processor. Cost me close to $4000, and it didn't have anything close to the power in my antique (relatively speaking) Samsung smartphone.

Oh... and I can download "CDs" to the phone locally or buy them and download them from Amazon.

REALLY? You can record VHS tapes, run M/S software on it, scan the airwaves, use it as a loud speaker, and get CB?

I'm ESPECIALLY curious about the LAST two! And that WAS 23 years ago!
