Today our money pit on wheels AKA our 2007 Dodge Caliber started flashing the engine light at us along with a ping, ping sound. The light comes on only in low gear as you try to accelerate. When do try to accelerate it bogs down, losing power and very slowly accelerates and on comes the blinking light. Once it accelerates to speed and you aren't pushing the gas pedal, the light stops blinking and stays lit.
Hey, I know this could be anything. Heck from what I've read it could just be a sensor of something. But I was wondering if anyone else has any input or tips to offer. My mechanic isn't open on weekends and I don't really want to take it to anyone else.
Thanks!
Regards,
jim
