What MBTI type are you?

I am an INTJ/INTP (I've tested both - J on most) .

I know the tests aren't deadly accurate as all tests with multiple choices or any tests in psychology for that matter aren't but at least it is better than astrology. Hey, if you are going to be calling me annoying then I'd like some scientific theory behind it instead of just saying the constellations did not align right.

Anyway, what's yours? If you don't know and have some time to kill, here you go:
Personality test based on C. Jung and I. Briggs Myers type theory

Sumit.

    Did this test a while back and was scored as an INTP. Same as Jung, Einstein, Darwin, Socrates, Neils Bohr and er, Sherlock Holmes.

    Guess I can live with that.

    My original test fifteen years ago pegged me as an INFP, which represents less than 1% of the population. I'm a freak.

        The numbers must have shifted since I originally took it. However, I'm now apparently an INTJ.

              See everyone? Riffle said "Brilliant" Douche.

              He could have said;
              Flatulent douche
              Obtuse douche
              Corpulent Douche
              Nonessential douche

              But no...Brilliant Douche.

                I don't even know most of these people. So much for being famous, lol!

                Anyway, this what the test says about me:
                ESFJ Description
                by Joe Butt

                Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes.

                All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life's meaning) and expect the same from others.

                ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.

                Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand; ultimately, however, the prodigal is wrested from the gallows of their folly, just as the noose tightens and all hope is lost, by the very executioner!

                An ESFJ at odds with self is a remarkable sight. When a decision must be made, especially one involving the risk of conflict (abhorrent to ESFJs), there ensues an in-house wrestling match between the aforementioned black-and-white Values and the Nemesis of Discord. The contender pits self against self, once firmly deciding with the Right, then switching to Prudence to forestall hostilities, countered by unswerving Values, ad exhaustium, winner take all.

                As caretakers, ESFJs sense danger all around--germs within, the elements without, unscrupulous malefactors, insidious character flaws. The world is a dangerous place, not to be trusted. Not that the ESFJ is paranoid; 'hyper-vigilant' would be more precise. And thus they serve excellently as protectors, outstanding in fields such as medical care and elementary education.
                I'm honestly not sure how I feel about that...

                Did you all find the test to be accurate?

          Dan; Just because you are using a magnifying glass, it doesn't make a little...tiny....Gherkin a cucumber.

          Here. I've even looked this up for you.

          From Wikipedia;
          "Gherkin is a term generally used to refer to a savoury pickled cucumber, particularly in the United Kingdom and Australia. Gherkins and Pygmy Gherkins belong to the same species (Cucumis Minisculus Rifflous), but are from different cultivar groups.
          They are usually picked when 4 to 8 cm (1 to 3 in) in length and pickled in jars or cans with vinegar (often flavored with herbs, particularly dill; hence, "dill pickle") or brine." The pygmy Gherkin, or "Riffle pickle" is even smaller and sadder. It's barely a pickle at all. the brine shrinks the Pygmy Gherkin even further. For years, the label on the jar of pygmy Gherkins read "It isn't my fault. The brine is cold".
          :rolleyes:

          Yes, I am quite happy now.

    ENTP, with a strong "out of preference" for planning on the P.

    I taught this type indicator instead of DISC in my first sales training role, and we used a much more detailed (and expensive) version. Still use it when I want more detail about how to communicate with a client.

    The 'NT' is an intuitive intellectual power center and I rely on it. Comes with its own HUD.

      Well, according to the test I am an ESFJ.

      At least there are some well known people I like also in that category like Thomas Edison, Marilyn Monro, Henry Ford, Mother Theresa, Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, Princess Diana, Lewis Carrol, Margaret Thatcher, Florence Nightingale, and JRR Tolkien.

        The good news is that he's like you and me. The bad news is that he's like Riffle.

        If I went to see a psychiatrist (which I would never do, for any reason), the session would consist of me analyzing the psychiatrist, and trying to convince him/her that they were wrong (no matter what they said).

        My God! Riffle was right...I am a Jackass.

        Added at exactly the same time I wrote the above post..., before Riffle posted below;

        I hope Riffle doesn't say something incredibly mean and cruel like;

        Because that would prove what a mean guy he is, especially to old guys like me, who are vulnerable to having their feelings hurt.

            Which reminds me, we found the video cameras. You disgust me.

            Now, I have to start wearing pajamas...just to be on the safe side. And not the See Through pajamas you sent me. No sir!

            And it's perfectly natural what I do in my sleep. Monkeys do it. And the myth is wrong, you don't go blind.

            Terra

            last night I was doing the breast stroke. Until my wife woke up, and said "What are you doing?"

            And I said "Don't blame me! Terra said it was good therapy!".

            She didn't buy it. Not for one second.
            Maybe I'll try it again when we are at the pool. But I don't know how Terra gets away with it in public.

              LOL Claude!

              You got in trouble did ya? That doesn't surprise me at all because you have to follow the rules!

              Of all the swimming strokes used in Olympic or recreational competition, the breaststroke is among the most challenging. Besides its physical complexity, which requires swimmers to be well-practiced and physically fit, the breaststroke also requires swimmers to be aware of several important rules. Breaking these rules can lead to a penalty or disqualification. Swimmers must always remain within their lanes and never pull on the ropes.

              You should have stayed in your own lane and not played with ropes!

              Oh, and since you are learning all about strokes, could you please explain to your friend Riffle that vert has nothing at all to do with strokes?

              Vert: green forest vegetation especially when forming cover or providing food for deer.

              I thought everyone knew that, sheesh! :p

                I'm sure Claude knows everything there is to know about various types of strokes. Hell, he probably learned them all in middle school...

                  Dan: Yes, I keep telling you I don't need to learn any new stroking techniques.

                  So please stop sending me money...and photos.....and whatever liquid was in that vial. And your "New Stroking Techniques That They Won't Teach You In School" videos are unwelcome.

    I love MBTI (I have a psychology degree). I'm eight an ESTJ or an ISTJ (the E and I are very close). I first took the test in the mid-80s when I was a spring chicken just starting out in corporate America, and took it again about a year ago. I tested the same, but with an subtle change that took 30s years of life experience/maturation to accomplish. The interesting point is my "J" when I was young was nearly 95%, but my J now is more balanced at about 60% - still clearly a J, but it made me reflect on myself then and now and what I've been through in the last 30 years.

      Aw, relax. INTJs can have tons of fun!

      It's just that, with the things we consider fun, most of the crowd considers weird - and vice versa.
