Journalists arriving at their accommodation in Sochi for the Winter Olympics have been greeted with such things as yellow water, heaters too high to reach and a sign asking them to dispose of used toilet paper in the bin, not the toilet.

It is always amusing to watch journalists go to places where the
infrastructure and convenience they are used to is not available.

(huff, puff!) "Well, I'm going to write about it and expose you to
    the whole world!!"

Um..............not all toilet systems handle TP like they do in the States. There are a lot of immigrants that have to be taught to flush the paper. Whereas in France they have Biddees (sp?) and you are sprayed with water to clean instead of using paper. I imagine our system is pretty rank and gross after that one, too.
