Learning how to touch type

I want to learn how to type faster. I am decently satisfied with my typing speed (I do use more than 2 fingers), but I want to get better and faster. I am worried that initially when I start typing with all fingers I will type much slower than I do now. For how long will my typing speed be impaired? How long does it take on average to get faster at typing?

  • There are many good typing programs that teach you this skill. I used to type with two fingers until I learned to touch type in a few weeks using a program. I don't remember the name of the program I used, as it was at college and some years ago. Some programs have games that make the process more interesting.
