He wants to be Bob Marley when he grows up!

He wants to dress like him, play guitar like him and sing like him. Fortunately, he hasn't discovered what else Mr. Marley was famous for.

Some think I'm crazy, but I'm very proud of him!!!

That is very cool. How consistent has he been with this? Often, a person's proclivities emerge very early in life. I honestly yet don't know those of my son, 3 going on 4. I haven't even figured out if he's right-handed or left-handed (seems to favor both equally). Some things are emerging. He doesn't care for circle-time or synchronized group activities and simply refuses to participate, preferring to play with Lego or gadgets in a sandbox. "Educators" have actually been subtly hostile towards him and even act as if he is a dummy. He's a friendly kid, but just not group-oriented I guess.

When it comes to your grandchild, I hope he manages to stay away from the weed, at least until he's full-grown, so it doesn't interfere with hormone balance (it significantly reduces testosterone levels). Though I believe it should be legalized for myriad reasons, actual research shows that is not harmless, whatever its advocates espouse.

Well , of course, you keep the kids off the weed until they are old enough to afford to buy it themselves, right?

That's kewl your grandson has an idol, Jacq. Maybe it's time to get him a guitar and see if he's got the real knack or if it's just a phase.

TB - your kid might be ambidextrous. I was and nobody ever knew which hand to get me stuff for - my first set of golf clubs were left handed, but I can't really golf left handed. Sometimes you just won't know until he starts to write which hand he favors.
