Back some time ago I was trying to figure how to use the multi-quote feature, but couldn't, so I just didn't use it. Just now I think I just figured it out, but didn't use it, so at this point, I'm still uncertain.

How exactly does one use the multi-quote feature?

Thanks.

  • If you want to quote from multiple peoples' posts then press 'Multiquote' for each post you want to include in your reply. The last quoting choice in your selections press 'Quote' and they will all be included in the Message input box for your next posting.

That is what I do, seems to work.

    • I never understood how the Multiquote feature worked.
I followed your instructions and it works very well.
This will be helpful for everyone.

  • Never use the feature!

I pressed that button once, and suddenly I saw everything anyone has ever said before that moment! I swear, I woke up a week later in Las Vegas, married to a hooker. Never push that button! As far as I can figure out, it opens up a wormhole in the time vortex. Nobody that has ever pushed that button, has lived to tell about their experience....until now. And I barely made it back! Only my sacred Rhunstone saved me.

    I'm totally serious.

    • You do need to use the Multi Quote function with some discretion and try not to waste it.

For example, you can see why this is such a waste...if you were trying to capture the subject "The Entire Wit and Wisdom of Whitacre", it would look like this:

    • I am laughing my butt off. Especially when you said you woke up in Vegas
      with the hooker.

I was also wondering how to use the Quote and Multi-Quote feature.
This is the first time I'm trying the Quote button so I hope this works.

I am taking your advice and will never use the Multi-Quote button. Although the Vegas thing might not be bad.

      Thanks
      Tim
