Serial killers are a different breed of killer. Intelligence is needed to cover up the crimes, and dispose of evidence. And so, they tend not to get caught until after several murders. Intelligence is different from mental stability.

You can be quite intelligent, and still be insane. And serial killers generally are sociopaths. Their cerebellum isn't connected well to their mid brain. They simply don't connects emotionally to their crimes and victims.

But they aren't any more intelligent that the general population. A group of janitors would give the same results. Some are intelligent, some aren't.

Serial killers never interested me, but sociopaths do. Their thought process is fascinating to me.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Your analysis is well-reasoned and convincing, but that list was cherry-picked, so not representative of serial killers in general. The average IQ of serial killers who were caught is actually lower than the average of the general population. If averaged out with the ones who haven't been caught, it might be a different story. At any rate, calling them super smart has been a way to cover up shoddy police work. In Vancouver, serial killer Robert Pickton who murdered dozens of prostitutes is downright dim-witted. It is now a showcase of police incompetence studied by law-enforcement around the world in order to not repeat such stupidity.

That makes sense. And some are brain damaged. In fact, you could argue that serial murder is proof of brain damage. What fully functioning human would do those things?

BuiltWith Technology Lookup says it was built with J2EE framework, ie is massively java-heavily.
