What Do You Think Of My Avatar?

Hey Fellow Warriors!

I'm a newb when it comes to image manipulation and creation. I've been a business owner for over 2 decades and into the internet world of business for almost 15. Image/picture stuff has never been an interest of mine until recently.

As a business owner, manager, admin position, I always felt it better to hire people that have skills beyond my own to do their thing they specialize in, then I get to focus on what I am good at.

I've owned Photoshop for years, but never took the time to learn. Same with GIMP. I have to tell you though, I've had some free time lately and have been having fun with images! I'm a complete rookie to say the least and have the utmost respect to those who are pros at using image editing software. It takes a while to learn for sure.

Anyway, I made from scratch my avatar and am having fun! I do not see a future in it for me, but am having fun putzin' using Photoshop and GIMP. Photoshop cost me several nickels to put it mildly, but GIMP was free... opensource. For sure it's a powerful program you can't go wrong learning to master.



Back to my avatar... what do you think of this ol' LastWarrior's creation? LOL!

    It is a little Age of Empires through a
    digital savvy filter but that is an acceptable
    sub genre in a 21st century melting pot

      Oh my God, you nailed it David! Little does anyone know or would have ever known, the helmut IS viking inspired and got it from said source.

        That's all intropsective and I'm not trying to hurt your feelings so just buck up, and take the criticism on the chin. I'm probably not your target market anyhow, so my opinion may be semi-irrelevant. I think you look like a puppy dog. Serious - ears, big eyes, all of it. The idea isn't a bad one, but it's comin' off pretty humorously. Put some warm colors on and can the red. Put some hair on the face. With the hat and sunglasses you look 12. If you can't do the hair, lose the glasses and find something a tad less um..."gothic".

        Warriors is a good idea though. Work with it until you get viewers to say "wow" or at least "kewl".
