I am sorry to hear about that. Here is a thread with suggestions on how to make some money quickly. I would read round the warrior forum first. I would also strongly advise you not to buy any courses or products on money making for the moment. This is because in your current situation, you are very vulnerable to be scammed or buy something that you don't need.

    Hi MadChia,

Sorry to hear that you lost your job.

Age doesn't matter, only your will to succeed does.

If you want to make money on the internet you must know where you want to go, they are many ways to do so.

If you have some programming knowledge you can go and offer your services by freelancing.

If you have some writing skills you can write ebooks and sell them then build a passive income.

If you want quick money then you should start selling things on ebay.

Just write down what you can offer and what people need. Combine these two elements and you will be able to win money online.

    I wish you good luck!

Yea you have to spend some money...

But the amount of time, trial, and error you will save will be more than worth it.

When one door closes, another opens!

You need to look at it as a business based around supply and demand and using the tool of the Internet to reach potential prospects.

    For instance:

America has a very bad overweight problem and there is a huge demand for wanting to know how to lose weight. You then can monetize this market by offering either digital or a combination of both physical and digital products.

You build yourself a custom landing page, send targeted traffic with proven traffic sources to your landing page and then you need to optimize it or make adjustments till your viewers are taking your desired action which could be buying or entering their name and email so you are building yourself a lead base of interested people. All you do then is send emails to your list. This requires a lot of testing as well to really generate good returns but it can be done with consistency.

You should always do something on the side when you are working for someone else. A job is never safe anymore. Start looking for some sort of an online business. Find a good mentor and start working that program.

I think that you will need to find a new job to support yourself right now as you are building your online business.

      I totally support this idea

Your best option at this moment is search a job according to your work profile , your priority is to support your family ,you can try with IM once you have got job.

IM attracts all of us but there is a learning curve and some investment also so you can try once you have some stable source of income .

Many of us are doing full time job and doing IM as side job .

Yep. What you have done is akin to opening a vein in shark-infested waters.

If you want quick money then you should start selling things on ebay.
Not only can you make a little money, but you start to learn how to build pages, write copy, deal with customers, etc.

My advice is that you spend your time looking to get a coach, rather than trying to figure it out on your own.
A year ago I would have disagreed. After extensive research I learned I was mistaken (never wrong) about the benefits coaches can provide.

My advice is go slow. There are no instant-riches, that's a myth.

    Good luck!

  • Hi MadChia,

Mentoring is the way to go. Getting started without knowing what to do will quickly loose you money and leave you frustrated and lose the belief that making money online is possible.

It is possible once you know what to do and in what order? A mentor will guide you and give you a plan of action which if you follow should start getting results a lot faster than stumbling along without a clue.

I have no idea what money you have to invest but some membership's with training include web hosting for a monthly fee such as Niche Profit Classroom where you start for $1 for 14 days then $67 a month. You will also need to invest in registering a domain, around $10 a year and an autoresponder such as Aweber which starts at $1 for 30 days then $19 a month.

So try getting a mentor so you are shown how to set these things up to get started and how to get traffic without which no money can be earnt? You need to spend a little money if you want to make some on the Internet.

    Regards.

    Stephen & Jennifer.

Some advise from someone who is your age, who went through 4 years ago what you are going through today, and who has a family.

FIND ANOTHER JOB AND TREAT THE INTERNET AS A SECONDARY INCOME, NOT YOUR PRIMARY.

There are many great people on the WarriorForum and the internet overall.

However, that also means not all are honest.

You will see sales figures that will blow your mind. Then of course, they will try to sell you something. (These figures can easily be photo shopped and usually cannot be verified.)

As an Internet Marketer, you will be spending money trying to figure things out, and spend more to implement the ideas.

Just look for another job (I sent out over 100 resumes before I landed a higher paying job) and treat the internet marketing as a secondary income.

Of course, if you did not have a family, my advise would be different.

You have enough stress right now and no experience

As everybody else here is saying, it's best to go slowly. When you're desperate ALL the offers sound good even though a lot of them are scams.

If you're really interested in finding a new way to earn an income (and who isn't in this job market), there is a REALLY great book called The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. And! Lest you think I'm just trying to get you to buy something for affiliate income, you can probably find it at the library

Same thing happened to me four years ago. I panicked and thought I could make a fortune online in a few weeks. I didn't.

Study how things work, put that study into action by all means and you should - with hard work and determination - eventually make some money, but it's not a quick fix and it's not easy money.

Find a job and until you do access all benefits that are available for the unemployed in you're area. There is no magic wand.

In march, 2013 I lost my job. I created accounts on Freelancer, Elance, Fiverr, Seoclerks & Fivesquids, but I sold my services (White Hat SEO) only on Fiverr, Fivesquids &Seoclerks.

First 3 months were a nightmare because I had a few sales. BUT I DIDN'T STOP! Next 3 months I rised around $1000 per month, but I was working 16-18h per day, 7/7 days. Since then my allmost all revenues come from Fiverr (around $1000) and it seems I can't find other internet sources to rise my income.

I hope my story will be a little usefull for you...

      Cheers!

    Hey MadChia,

Sorry to hear about your situation... Some great advice already here but I also encourage you to look for some kind of mentor or coach if you want accelerate your results and you have an idea of where, and what you're trying to accomplish here.

If you don't know anything about internet marketing, get a basic knowledge FIRST, before looking for a coach/mentor.... this way, you know what kind of coach/mentor to look for.

And yes, people are making a lot of money online, and it CAN happen for you, and it can happen quickly (I know from personal experience as well as from coaching over 100 people)... BUT, if it doesn't happen right away for you, don't despair... don't quit... if you really want this, if you really want success, the key really is going to be... STICK WITH IT.

With that said, if you've got some savings to help keep you afloat for awhile, or even if you don't, you might want to consider getting some kind of job, or income coming in to pay the bills...

I'm giving you that advice because it makes sense... but when I lost my job way back in 2004, everyone was telling me to get a job... I didn't.

I struggled for a long time... and things didn't quite click for me right away... but looking back on it... I don't regret it... I would still choose the path that I chose.

Ultimately it's you that can decide what's best for you and your family.

Consume this forum and figure out what path you want to go in... then seek out knowledge in those specific things.

Get another job. even if it pays late, it will cover your living expenses.

once you have a job rolling, decide what are you good at, start branching out.
IM income is unlikely to cover your cost o living for time being.

      hope it helps,

Get a job as quickly as possible. Try to find something to cover the necessary expenses. Also, cut out the things unnecessary. Always keep looking for that day job that will get you close to where you were before, including: benefits. Then start educating yourself on IM. This takes some time, an investment in itself, and capital. But, it time, it can prove fruitful if you keep at it.

Do not listen to those that tell you to get a coach or a mentor. Maybe in the future it might be worth it.

But, right now take the advice of all those that say to "Get another Job"

If you truly want to become an internet marketer do it on your terms and not out of need or desperation.

If you have the 40 bucks, join the war room and start downloading some of the free ebooks and tutorials. Then go from there

Personally, since you're starting from scratch, I'd get another job pronto. Over 90% of the people who try to make money online fail at it. Some try for years without making a dime.

If you're one of the ones that can make it, it's still going to be a long learning curve and a lot of time and effort. Most don't make millions. Many don't even make hundreds. Can your family hold out for a long time without an income?

It does take a little time before you can make real money from internet marketing. It also does take time before you can build reputation for people to trust you. You can start now, though. But my advice is for you to find a job (at your age, I am sure employment opportunities are still available for you). Then you can do internet marketing on the side. Take your time. The more effort and time you give into studying internet marketing, the more chances you have to become successful. Good luck and believe in yourself! Don't lose hope

    MadChia,

Sorry to hear about that. I've been in the same boat myself.

First thing is to keep a positive mental attitude as it is easy to get down on yourself quickly. Especially if you keep applying for jobs and getting turned down.

I too am in the camp of seeking out a coach/mentor. It's something I wish I'd done a couple of years ago.

PM me and I'll send you an advance copy of a free WSO I'm finalizing on how to select a coach for your IM business.

    Stay positive my friend.

I kinda hate to admit it, but "get another job" is the most solid advice one can give you. The internet marketing business is hard. If you don't have background in it - and I guess you would've mentioned if you had - it may take years to get any good at it.

Do you have any skills you can use? If you can provide a service that you can sell on the internet it's much easier than marketing. I'm a site builder, and I've left an advertising agency to start my own company. Contacts are always good to have.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job. You should look for another job because here without experience it will be hard to start a new business. However you can gain some money, for example, by signing up with one or more of the many survey companies easily found on the Internet and select the type of surveys which will suit you best. The forms of these surveys on products and/or are quite easy to fill out and they can earn you good extra money.
