What did you spend your first big paycheck on? If you haven't got there yet what will you spend it on?

you re-invest it back into your business. Hopefully all of it. Its your mindset that determines if you succeed or not and by going out blowing your first check is not off to a good start. Yes, there is an opposite side and you need to have fun but the most successful have learned to skip instant gratification and see more long term.

Take no more than 10% if you have to and go have a nice meal or a movie and make sure to congratulate yourself.

  My first weekly paycheck over $8,000...back in maybe 1982 or 83....I bought a brand new Thunderbird for cash. An over $1,000 weekly paycheck was very unusual for me back then. It was in home selling. I worked very hard that week.
  
  If I had a brain back then, I would have put it down on a home.

  Added later. Very sorry. I said it was $10,000. That was before I took out expenses. $8,000 is more accurate.

If by "big" paycheck you mean "real" paycheck, I spent it on a wardrobe in Paris and my trip back to the US. I treated my whole year + there as one huge vacation (when I wasn't at work on the base). Do I regret it? Not at all. I was 18 - 19 and just out of school and in a foreign country. I had the vacation of my life and spent every cent I earned over there. Later when I returned home, everything became real world again with some very excellent experiences and memories under my belt.

Actually, it's ironic that this should come up. My first decent sized affiliate payment was from Perry Marshall's affiliate program back in the "good old days" of Google Adwords. I can't remember exactly how much it was, but I'm pretty sure it was around a $775-$790.00 commission.

I say it's ironic because I used that money and a bit more to put a down payment on the 2002 Ford Taurus out back that just threw a rod two days ago. That car has served us well since the summer of 2005. May it RIP.
