Bigger than Game Of Thrones - Outlander?

So is anyone else here an Outlander fan? The series started 20 years ago (book 8 arrives this year!) and Starz is finally releasing it as a TV show:

"What if your future.... was your past?"


I'll admit this is one I'm looking forward to.....

      Highlander? Perish the thought!!!!

      Nope. While hugely famous in literary/book circles, it is NOT yet a TV thingee so doesn't have any background in that area.

      But wow.... the books certainly stay with you for decades after you read them.

    GOT is an epic series, i'm reserving space for the DVD collection next to my Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Band of Brothers collections....

      Lots of folks say that (and lots say that about Outlander as well. I believe there's more books in that series than Game of Thrones right now).

      I did try to get into the GoT books. They just never did it for me (neither did the LOTR books as well).

        My wife does not normally share my interests when it comes to SciFi or Fantacy/Fiction but i finally got her into GOT at the end of season 2 and now she is obsessed with it... LOL
