I'm a 4th Dan in judo, been practicing 42 years

I'm an Advanced Master Rolfer, Deep Tissue Therapist and Physical Therapist

I can juggle 5 balls successfully

I am blind in 1 eye but am a better proofreader than many with 2 good eyes. I am a fast reader and understand what I'm reading. I'm also an avid theatre lover (as an audience member these days due to health issues but used to be very actively involved in more than 200 shows over 35 years.)

Hmmm...

1. Between online and offline, I'm working on businesses #6 & #7 since September, 2000. I've learned a LOT! :-)

2. I'm an amateur musician, but my talent seems to mostly lie in writing songs. I've written around two dozen songs now with multiple other ideas in the works. It didn't really surface until my Dad passed away in 1994, but since then they just keep coming to me. I've had many people tell me I need to have a few of them published. I'm seriously thinking about it.

3. My kids range from 12 years old (in June) to 30 years old (in May). I tell people that last one made me quit drinking. :-) I had a friend tell me that her last one made her START drinking! lol

1) I used to play drums in a band with Gary Numan's (Cars) co writer and Bass Player ( Paul Gardiner) He deliberately overdosed in a park in the early 80's due to Numan retiring from the rock scene and breaking up the band which was his life. He had a note on him which simply said "Cremation Please"

2) I compose dreamy melodic, New Age music using a keyboard, samples and software. I have not been active of late apart from doing a recent backing track for a song. Years ago in the late 80's I did an hours worth of music and got 100 cassettes made up and sold them all. Should get back to it really.

3) When in my late teens I used to be good at cross country running and have a few medals for district sporting events.

I'm an expert in Ba Gua, a Chinese martial art. I certainly don't look like anyone that would have such a skill. And other than here, I rarely tell anyone.

And in an unrelated area...I too can wiggle my ears. Little kids think it's hilarious.

My wife raises and lowers her eyebrows, and her entire nose goes up and down with it. It's the funniest thing ever.

I have worked for years as a on-air radio personality, despite not being blessed with dulcet tones. I am still a member of SAG-AFTRA.

I have worked in theatre, mainly as a character actor in musical comedies, despite not being a very good singer or dancer. I can however 'sell' any song. AEA was my parent union.

I have worked as a sports writer for a few publications, despite only possessing a GED. Many thanks to all of my editors.

I have been blessed with coaxing over 100 species of Corydoras catfish to spawn in my fish room, one species of which I am the only person to ever do so. Two things about that. First, there are only five of us on the planet to reach that milestone, and second - that fact and $1.50 will get me a cup of coffee in most places.

Ha! Sorry, I just say Ba Gua. It's actually Ba Gua Zhang. Ba Gua is translated as "Eight Trigrams". It can be used in Feng Shui, I guess. I know nothing about feng shui, although my instructor taught it (and he just called it "Land reading" back then). "Zhan" means Palm.

By the way, for some reason, it used to be called Pa Kua Chang in the US, and the spelling went back to the original Chinese. No idea why.

But yeah, if you go to Youtube and look up Jiang Rong Qiao (the name of the originator of the style)...that's the main style I learned and still practice...

To be honest, you and Frank have more interesting skills.

By the way, the grading system by belt color is a Japanese thing. We never had belt colors.

Ba Gua Zhang, ah I see now, that's more like it. Honest mistake. I would trade you the drumming skills now to possess martial arts expertise but not the music composition.

I'm almost always more impressed by other people than I am with myself no matter who they are, so much so that it is practically...a talent. Me? No major talents or accomplishments. Not being modest, just being honest.

If you have a very high IQ, that wouldn't surprise me. However, that alone doesn't qualify someone as a geenyus (trust me, I know). What else can you do? Can you instantly transform into cloud-form and live in a lantern for hundreds of years, or something like that?

I have a high IQ, and a lot of other high letters. I keep my dictionary on the top shelf.

Alas and alack, I cannot instantly transform into a cloud-form and live in a lantern. The transformation takes me a minute or so. It's not easy, you know.

I dunno. I think most people I know already know my talent areas. I write, dance, train dogs, find gemstones with success, and you can try to lose me anywhere on earth and I can always find my way back. Probably the most surprising of my skills is my cooking. That doesn't surprise me. My mom taught my sister and I our way around a kitchen pretty well. People generally seem to think it's too domestic a talent for me (tomboy) to have excelled at. I really can be domestic.........I just never stay home long enough to do that.
