      Well, it's not specifically against the rules. I suspect that's just because it never occurred to us that someone would come into a business forum asking random strangers for handouts for a vacation to Disneyworld.

      I like the Krispy Kreme suggestion. Has a better chance of working than this idea...

    OP: why don't you offer something of value in exchange for donations? Something you don't have to put a lot of your time into more than once, like a report?

    It's all well and good to have a goal, but "the huge world will" NOT "come round" to you like Emerson said it will when you want something for nothing.

    This is not the way to ask for donations. I want to go on vacation too. But the way you ask is same as asking people outside for money. Even people outside sing or do some activity in order to earn something. Your excuse is not well. People ask for money to get food. You should find something else or offer something to get this donation.

      The only reason for the ban, rather than just deleting the post, is to discourage others from seeing it and thinking this is the place to ask for handouts.

      Bans aren't punishments. They're messages, and usually not for the people who get them.

    lol ... first time I've seen someone with the guts to ask people to fund their vacation to Disneyland on a business forum. I reported it, but in hindsight, I'm glad it wasn't deleted. Reading the responses is an education for all in what might not be a good idea to try.
