Bit of fun this, but I do like the old country stuff.

My song is - Jerry Reed - She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft).

Country songs have some great song titles!

More and More by Webb Pierce. Sounds like a good thrash name.

Seriously. I just listened to a few lines of it and couldn't listen to the rest. If that hit top of charts, then that means they had some hella moonshine going around somewhere.

Makes me feel lucky as heck I was raised in the Motor City where we rocked it out.

Never heard of either one. YouTube to the rescue! Kind of a fun little ditty.

Well, I screwed that up. I posted the #1 pop song when I was born. There's a link below the "juke box" for that. The #1 country song for me was In The Jailhouse Now - Webb Pierce.

    Dennis,

The #1 country song was "Guess Things Happen That Way," by Johnny Cash.

The #1 pop song the day I was born was "Poor Little Fool."

Sadly, I would be able to sing along with both if I heard them on a jukebox...

    Paul,

The Johnny Cash song I know. Not a bad song for it's time. Not familiar with Poor Little Fool. Are you referring to the Ricky Nelson song (I only know that from a YouTube search).

I hate to admit it, but I like that Georgia Gibbs song from my birthday.

Yep. Catchy tune, and probably known by a lot more people than the Cash one.

Hard to say if it'll stay that way, with the recent resurgence of interest in Johnny Cash's music.
