I am new to forums and I am sure I am breaking some rule about where I start my thread but I was wondering if anyone could help me. I just downloaded Audacity as well as the Lame mp3 decoder. This is so that I could record samples to send to my cell phone as ringtones. I already know how to open the mp3 file and highlight the area I want to record, after i have done this I'll hit the record button and it will not play nor record the highlighted sample. I am at a loss for why this is. It was recording just fine the first few times I tried it. No it just picks up my background noise i.e the computer. any help would be greatly appreciated.
