  • What else is there?
  • If you're a power user, check out Pegasus Mail.

I've used it since I got my first Windows machine, a long time ago. Tested a bunch of others, but nothing I've seen has the configurability and range of features that PMail does.

It's especially useful if you have multiple accounts on different servers. The ability to filter mail into different folders, assign an identity to that folder, and then automatically reply using that identity is very handy.

    • I used Pegasus for a while back when I still ran Windows and it is great, once you figure it out.
I also used Thunderbird and thought Pegasus was much better.
    • Forte Agent does all of that as well.

  • I like using Windows Live Mail.

I love the way it lets you setup customized rules for every email that comes in.

  • Thom,

I hear ya. Pegasus just has so many features, it should be a $100 product.

It does mail merge, for one thing. You can set it to autoreply, and even personalize autoreplies based on form fields in the mail being replied to. You can configure the system to download from multiple accounts based on which identity you're in at the moment, set identities for specific folders, run local notice boards and notepads, keep a virtually unlimited library of stock reply snippets in the glossary, manage multiple addressbooks and distribution lists, attach notes to specific emails, manage multiple users, and so much more. The Bayesian spam filter is really easy to use and saves me a ton of time every week.

I've been looking around for a similarly powerful email client for the Mac and haven't seen anything yet that's close.
