    I've only heard the basics but it seems in spite of all our surveillance and vigilance....it still comes down to one citizens noting something "off" and telling police about it.

    According to the charging documents, The Free Press of Mankato reported, the suspect kept a 180-page notebook that detailed his plans. He allegedly told police he planned to shoot his mother, father and sister, then start a fire in a rural field to distract first-responders while he went to the school to set off pressure-cooker bombs in the cafeteria.
    The time and planning that went into this....did his parents not suspect anything?

    We're raising a generation of juvenile delinquents and I don't see it getting any better.

    Yeah, pretty unbelievable that she was suspicious of someone just walking through the back yards. I doubt that would have raised my level of suspicion to the heights of calling 911. Even more unbelievable is that the cops took it seriously and followed up.

    Glad this tragedy in the making was averted.
