I regulary search my posts to find replies.

Apologies if this has been reposted (but the search doesn't work so...) but I get this now

Any ideas why it is disabled on WF?

Thanks

  • I believe this was done as part of the move to Amazon's cloud service. That was completed earlier today.

Not sure when it will be working again, but it should be much faster when they re-enable it.
  • I use it every day (and I know that lot of users do it too) to stalk my fav users on daily basis so that option is my only way to browse WF forum. Let us know when it will back. Thanks

BTW: Now I realised that browsing WF like this is my way to get rid of spam threads
  • I just revisited this forum after a long break and wanted to find my own posts but couldn't do so. I shall also be glad when the search facility returns.

Perhaps that's why I'm showing as 0 posts?

Yeah, just tried it. Looks like it's still disabled.
  • Any updates on when this will be fixed?
  • This can help in the meantime.

Put this into Google search box:
    site:warriorforum.com "YourUserName"

It will bring your past activity, not in order but you could find what you are looking for.

Here is a +1 to hoping it's back soon!

    Cheers!
  • OK, thank you for the update. Google search is not very consistent unfortunatly.
  • Hey! The option is back but it show posts from the oldest so its usless. I think You need to change the order

    • One thing I've just noticed.

When I search for my old posts I don't actually get my posts anymore. I have 9 pages of posts that appear to be for various people and all from 2008, 2 years before I joined.

Rather weird, should I tell someone or is it just part of the search being disabled?
  • Wow. Just searched on my stats and my posts show from 2008!

    • That's what I've got Barb, 9 pages of 2008 posts by lots of people except me.

      I joined in 2010.
  • This function is back but it is now incorrect, it is showing a random mix of posts by other people that it says are my posts.

Also, find all threads by this user is now working where before it was not - except it only lists certain threads - this one for example, started by me, did not show up in the search results.
  • Hey. The essential option is still broken... Can You fix this ? I`m sure that lot of users are waiting
  • So yesturday both search for users posts AND search for users threads was working perfectly!!!

Today it is broken again :/

    • You are right - it isn't working and there's not a thing we can do about it.

I just checked my own posts the system is working again. I also checked your posts Kay, and as of right now they are also being reported. Yeah!! I had checked earlier today and it was broken again as you peeps had reported. Hopefully the function settles into it's groove sooner rather than later.

    Cheers

    • Here and there - recent posts are showing again but May 5-22 is a blank space and there were a few other "blank periods" when I checked earlier.

It's getting there so someone is working on it diligently.

Yeah, loosing ground again...my freshest are from 5/4.

Edit: This post shows up so I guess it's back to the gap effect. Hopefully they will have it stabilized sooner rather than later...the problem is at least a couple weeks old now.

    • It's been about a month and it's still not working.
  • It is really spotty. Sometimes I can find my posts from the same day, but then they are gone again the next day. There seems to be a certain cutoff date from the past where it doesn't seem to index beyond.

Yes, unfortunately this issue is really dragging on! Maybe we could do a WAMA with the big cheese so we could ask him when this will be fixed.
