    Into what? Law partner/nanny?

One of the most ridiculous job ads I've ever seen - carries multi-tasking a bit too far.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I'm sure its included in the small print of the baby sitting job description. Or better yet in the PEA to the Executive.

What is a "boutique law firm"? Must say that is a first for me.

But must tell you Kay in doing research today I saw a 1/2 doz of similar ads. One of them had a salary of 90K to 100K and included the personal baby sitting. Just blew my mind.

Probably for a good lawyer who works mostly from her home
in a specialized area of law.

Opportunities for growth would be to become a paralegal,
or perhaps a law student... It could also provide the experience
needed for positions in law firm admin or marketing. Depends
upon the skill and drive of the person who takes the position.

Just so I'm clear - when they mention "babysitting", that's just a generic term, and not looking after actual babies? Otherwise, wouldn't they have to add something like a police check, or equivalent, to the job requirements?

Here, in Canada, the police checks etc. come after the list of applicants has been dwindled down so-to speak.

Jody, in the UK, an employer is obliged to run a check (usually a CRB - Criminal Records Bureau) if the role involves dealing with children. This would almost certainly be mentioned in the job ad (if it wasn't already implied by the position).

          .

Frank, we must do things azz backwards here . I know of various positions I held, I wasn't informed about any checks etc. until I had an interview. Once being accepted for the position, I was required to undergo whatever checks they deemed necessary. Once I was cleared, I was given a start date for the job.

I don't know about the US, though.

No ... I would have absolutely no desire to be someone's babysitter and household worker in addition to the legal office work. Pretty ridiculous ad and screams of cheap, cheap, cheap.
