I'm not sure which rule I keep breaking upstairs, but they deleted another of my "free images" thread. No matter, more for you: Here are 400,000 images for non-commercial use:

Why on Earth would they delete this? Many thanks Joe.

My only thought was that with a rather large amount of unscrupulous members and and even larger amount of misinformed members, many of whom then pass on this misinformed information to others, that perhaps the mods felt most people would totally ignore the images rules of use.

        I won't however and I'm very grateful.

Mind you, when I saw the first image of all those kids lying down I wondered what I was looking at, then I was relieved to see they're all sun bathing. Phew .

Cool, although head ups it looks like you may have to go through an affiliate link. Also, you have to copy/ paste the links. When you just click them, you get an account creation box for Wealthy Affiliate and the link doesn't go to the URL.

Your threads were probably too much information for the upstairs section right now. Have you LOOKED at what is passing for "threads" up there?

You see 2-3 dozen answers to questions that are drivel-stupid. Add to that some serious posturing going on and your contribution will more respect down here, anyway.

Remember, there are new mods. They may have thought your post was self-promotion. The new folks don't know anyone, so where you might get the "benefit of the doubt" from mods who know you, you may not have that with the new folks.

I'm not saying it was them, just that it's a possibility. You might want to post a (not my site) disclaimer when you post links for a while to give it a better chance of sticking.

Of course, it could have been because it wasn't about making money. Or something else, like maybe it didn't have enough scotch tape to hold it in place.

You could be right. I just thought it was funny that I rarely visit there, only post there once in a blue moon and most of those get deleted.

People being a bit "know it all" and mentioning how popular and important they've been here (in a round about way, of course).

I'm posting this with a smile - cause I don't care. I prefer those folks to the one line wonders filling up the space right now.

It will sort out one way or another....or yet another.

I'm more bent out of shape over the search still not working correctly and the "thanks" buttons seeming to disappear, reappear, etc in 5 minutes time....when no one was being thanked.

It wears me down up there sometimes. One recent thread started with a newbie saying something like, "Hey guys, does anybody know how to get started in IM?" Srsly?

Anyhowz, one person gave a detailed answer. Another person posted that their answer was too detailed for a newbie. That person reacted with incredulity. And around and around we go.

Do you mean the "find more posts" search in the dropdown menu from a user's name? If so, that's been working for a couple days now.

I hope that doesn't make me sound like a know-it-all.

      That would be my guess.

Especially since the main forum is "Where the Warriors talk about making money on the Internet" (I liked Allen's old "where we talk about making money" better) a good deal of the people who would view the thread may choose to ignore the non-commercial use part of it.

I saw the original thread "upstairs" and am very surprised indeed, if it's been deleted.

(I'm now wondering whether there might possibly have been some feeling that there were risks involved of Warriors mistakenly thinking "Cool: I can use these on my sites/blogs", given the reality that they're actually freely available only for non-commercial use?).

          Dennis -

Right now the search is just right - earlier today there was a weeks-long gap in results from early may to this week. It seems to come and go but it is getting better.

Must be having a few "sputters" then. I've used it several time in the last two days and it's been working fine.

Then again, maybe you're just clicking the wrong side of the link.

You must have jinxed it . . . the next three times I tried it, it wasn't working right again. Maybe you need to get a new mouse.
