Sure. 'Twill be 21 years this year.... and our dates these days involve going to Costco or 5 Below and the gym or anything where we simply spend time together.

Romance is companionship - it doesn't have to be hugely expensive.

Not yet sir, I did not get it yet. I am not interested about marriage. I do not know why i do not like it. but i think wife is very disturbance. It will make hesitant in my life. I think life is also fresh without wife. I know anyone disagree with my post. So please apologizes me. it's only my opinion. Thanks

Nothing wrong with not wishing to marry and that shouldn't offend anyone either.

Besides, Dan Riffle will be here at some stage to back up your point.

I was just about to post a story, but then I realized the topic was "favorite stories." I have none of those.

Oh, I have lots of stories, even catching him in a fib on a date prior to marriage. We were out having some hors d'oeuvres and he ordered stuffed mushrooms with cheese in a wine sauce. We loved them and ate every bite. After I married him, he said he didn't like mushrooms.

I am getting ready to do a blog with a lot of stories, only all the names of the perps are changed to protect those who would object to using real names.

I'm an oddity myself. Married way more than once, didn't take all their stuff on my way out the door (or as I pushed them out the door) - and stayed friends afterwards.

One reason we could stay friends was NOT telling the stories.....

TL - It's not a "story" without the details. That's just the teaser blurb. Trying to get us to go see the movie?

(I admit I haven't seen the movie, so maybe your post is more of a story than I understand.)

In all seriousness, my favorite story I like tell people is about my second date with my wife.

    I'm a bit of a foodie, so I'm a pretty good cook.

We were in my kitchen and I was making Coq au Vin. She asked if she could help, so I slid her a can of button mushrooms (yeah, yeah, I was young. Canned mushrooms...Eew) and one of those old fashioned-looking manual can openers.

My bride-to-be flipped the can opener around in her hand, studied it, and placed it back on the counter and said, "What do you expect me to do with this?"

It was at this point that all of the boxes of Hot Pockets in her freezer made sense.

My wife was trying to fry an egg when I entered the kitchen one day. I was all up there in my mind trying to solve a complicated equation with 7 trig and 2 sqrts for haversine in my head and I didn't even realize that I somehow called her by someone else's name.

The last thing I remember from that day is an iron frying pan flashing before my eyes. Bang! Three weeks and 24 stitches later I had an ability to solve those equations in a blink of an eye. I won't ever be able to thank her enough for the helping hand.

I'm amazed you didn't use your telekinetic powers to make the frying pan hit her in the face.

        Sad, but true related story.

I have a guest who has stayed at my hotel twice.
The second time intuition told me to check on him.
Sure enough, when I did, he was face down on the
        floor and could not speak.

The paramedics and cops came and all agreed he
had consumed a lot of booze and pain pills.

The next day, his girlfriend came by to get his belongings
and the hospital had found no signs of either.

Turns out, his ex-wife had clocked him in the head about a
year before and it was all from neurologic damage.

LOL. There were clues. I had not seen him for almost 24 hours, The last time did see him, he seemed a bit off and it did not seem like alcohol - even though there were reports from the restaurant next door that he had been drinking. And, his girlfriend was supposed to have shown up by that afternoon.

It turned out that she did not know he was here and I am to call her if he ever shows up alone again.

Gee - I thought I was in the "How to get a divorce in one easy forum post" thread.

Another single here. Not die-hard single, just going to be extremely fussy next time around. Thinking right now that getting to where I can get another dog is a little smarter, and probably more enjoyable move.
