Brazil World Cup 2014 is knocking at the door. All teams are ready, stadiums are ready, supporters are ready, samba dance is ready also. Its time to count down the last few hours.

Just before inaugurating the largest event in the world, do you have any guess, which team will win FIFA world cup 2014?

      Brazil, probably.

      If not Brazil, then Argentina.

If Iran wins it, I'll give you a refund myself ...

I wanna go with Argentina because I'm a huge fan of Messi but I think we all know how horribly he plays during the world cup. When he puts on that uniform, it's like it's sucking all the talent out of him.

If Australia wins it, I'll not only pay your refund myself, I'll pay for the refund Alexa promised above.

Seriously though, I predict an Argentina/Brazil final with Argentina winning 3-2.

If Argentina win I'll shoot myself, so to cushion the blow I'll put money on them winning, then I can get shit faced and forget football exists.

If England win, I'll pay the refund and the refund you and Alexa promised.

I'm going with the team that scores the most points in the championship game.

    I could be wrong though.

Millions of people care and more than 2 teams are competing

Belgium has not much chance (maybe a little ) so i would say France.

Well, they lost a couple of big international skirmishes in the early- and mid-20th Century, before the European Union and its so-called "single currency" screwed up on them, didn't they? Might be nice for them to do something well, for a change?

Who would have thought Holland would have destroyed Spain 5-1 after been 1 nil down? That's they type of football I like, going on the attack rather than sitting back hoping not to give a goal away. Have to say though I thought Spain were quite poor, not taking anything away from the Dutch though. Van Persie scored a brilliant goal from a great pass, and Arjen Robben was on fire. Time to replace Casilias?

That was a corker. The Dutch have avenged South Africa 2010, and must now be considered serious contenders.

They took a composer with them? (Is that like "war artists", in military conflicts, or did they just not get their anthem ready in time, before departure?).

Well, having watched Mexico manhandle Brazil last night unless Brazil seriously improve I can't see them doing much.

Mexico on the other hand, if they bully, disrupt play and show that level of skill and passing with what appears to be the worlds best goalie, I for one don't want England facing them.

I might add, odd as it is for me as an Englishman to do so, I'd like congratulate Germany for making Ronaldo do more face palms in a game than I've seen in all his games put together.

I'd like to think the little winker had a good cry in the showers after too.

It was heaven to watch. Having said that my dear old Grandad will be turning in his grave that I was actually happy for the Germans.

I was though and well done to them.

Heaven forbid we have to face them either.

Credit where it's due, after last nights game and my currently throbbing head, America can hold their head high that they scored more points than England did.

Yup and that goes bang against the theory it won't be a European team because it's too hot and they're not at home.

I rather fancy those two as well, they both beat excellent teams convincingly that have traditionally hot weather.

I don't think the heat is an issue, they've all been training in it.

Qatar on the other hand is a different matter. It's not the heat I'm only worried about there either.

I questioned that decision at the time as well (apart from the corruption scandal that's since blown up).

Qatar is hardly a free and open society. A lot of the fans (if not most) are going to want drink booze, before, during and especially after the matches. Not quite sure how the Qatari officials are going to react to having thousands of drunk fans wandering their streets.

And of course there'll be a lot of women attending. Because of the heat they'll be scantily clad (by Islamic standards anyway). Once again, not sure how the authorities are going to deal with that. Even worse would be scantily clad drunk women.

Anyway, by then Qatar may be stripped of the tournament, so we'll see how it all pans out.

With the Taliban there, the heat and the latest report of Qatari's making up sections of ISIS, it beggars belief it was considered.

Apart from all those brown envelopes of course.

But they should never have got it in the fist place..they knew about the heat but i guess with Blatter being paid for corrupt votes that's where it all lies.

It can't go ahead there. |i think they are no desperately trying to pull the plug on it....but Qatar are going to go Ape sh** if that happens now.
