While I think these are a little too small, I enjoy looking at them and it's good to see a trend away from big homes.

There are several that I'd be happy to live in - amazing designs.

Japanese Forest House is my fav. But with 4 kids, 2 mooses, a husband and a flock of TwitterBudgies... it would get cramped.

I always wanted one of these as a guest house/grown up tree house type thing.

Gorgeous! You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to take all those wee houses, glue them together and make a mansion out of them.

omg! That's the last thing I would think of. The people who made these things would probably be appalled at such an idea as it is often stylish hippies that think humanity should take up as little space as possible.

I'd be rather happy in one of these homes. Not sure how the plumbing or electric work, but I sure know a few places that I'd be happy to live in one of these. I really like the hobbit houses. I've seen a lot of pics of the inside of these homes and the only thing I find disturbing is a lot of them don't have bathtubs, and I'm not that fond of showers.

They're pretty amazing ... not for me though. I'd use it as a getaway, but I'd go nuts living in that small an area.

The permaculture forum I belong to and follow on FB is always posting pics of these type homes. Absolutely love them.
I've lived in a van and a 17ft. Shasta camper before, so most of these I look at seem pretty roomy

Some of those are sort of cute looking. You would have to be a bare minimalist to live in any of them. What would scare me most is trying to live in a place like that and be afraid of every storm that starts to kick up the wind that could knock it over.

Speaking of "scared," last night the storms that came over from the west had a lot of thunder, lightning, rain and wind. Around 2 or 3 in the morning, a lightning bolt must have hit extremely close and it shook my little brick house. The neighbors were talking about it, but no one knows where it hit except that it was really, really close. I've never experienced that kind of shock wave before.

I like incorporating efficient use of space into home design.
Like these, and the way they use the floor space in mobile homes.

I know a lady who lives in a small two story cabin. Ample
kitchen/dining/living space for her and a few friends on the first floor.
A couple of bedrooms upstairs. One wood stove on the first floor
          heats the whole thing.
