My Computer Ate it?

Today the IRS announced it can't provide emails from Lois Lerner to the committee investigating wrongdoing.....because it "lost" the emails.

Oh - and, wouldn't you know it, the time frame where the emails were "lost" just happens to be the exact time frame where it is claimed wrongdoing occurred.

May I suggest we take some of the data brainiacs at NSA and send them to IRS to recover the "lost" data????

I would hate to be the spokesperson who had to make this announcement today - and do so with a straight face. Unbelievable!

I expect this is what will happen to much of the VA documentation, too. It's why this information should have been SEIZED immediately by the FBI at the direction of the Justice Department.

  • I bet if you or I tried that excuse ... we would be in jail before we knew what happened.

  • Well you can't get a dept to "seize" info when it further implicates the head of that dept who is now fighting against removal (impeachment) themselves.

The heads of the dept that claims to have "lost" the emails should damned well just sit in jail until someone can get a tech there who can "find" it again. This crap has gone on too far - several admins too far. It's time to start arrests, recalls, and impeachments. Get rid of the whole Oligarchy.

Over here, when government departments "lose" stuff like this, it's usually some story like "an official had them all backed up on a couple of CD's but his briefcase was stolen on a train". (We've had two or three variations of that one, over the last few years, I think).

Today the IRS announced it can't provide emails from Lois Lerner to the committee investigating wrongdoing.....because it "lost" the emails. The IRS told Congress Friday it cannot locate many of Lois Lerner's emails prior to 2011 because her computer crashed during the summer of that year. Oh - and, wouldn't you know it, the time frame where the emails were "lost" just happens to be the exact time frame where it is claimed wrongdoing occurred.
