The local councils of South Perth and Victoria Park are about to merge to form the new suburb of - ta-da - South Park.

I'm not quite sure how they're going to deal with anal probing aliens, Mr Hanky, Mecha-Streisand, Mexican Staring Frogs, Kenny McCormick getting killed every week, ManBearPig, and all the other things that happen in towns with that name.

    • The question is, how many people/tourists in the height of summer will dress up in a big bulky South Park fancy dress costumes and drop dead from heat stroke?



      Last time I was in Perth it was 45 degrees (113 Fahrenheit), if it wasn't for Australia's ice cold beer to cling too I'd have met the same fate.

      Having said that I'd come from winter here where it was about minus 10 when I left. Besides the locals were sweating like I was anyway.
