Just wanted to wish our neighbors to the north a Happy Canada Day. Do you do anything special to celebrate?

    We're just going to a nearby beach. My 4-year-old son especially enjoys being in one spot playing with sand and driftwood, people-watching, that sort of thing,

    I celebrated with friends on the weekend with BBQ, potluck and lots of fireworks...not to mention a few drinks! Many took Monday off to make it a long-weekend.

    I'm invited out this evening for another BBQ & more fireworks, but the weather hasn't been cooperating...heat, humidity and lots of pop-up thunderstorms.

    Side note: Our local General Store now has a trailer-load of "discount fireworks" for sale. Fireworks are always going off and my dog, Riley, hates them!

      We flew to Ottawa to be part of the crowds at Parliament Hill enjoying the entertainment and fireworks this evening.
