    I don't know why everybody is so salty because the guy has a record and is a real bad boy.

      Are you kidding? Frankly, I don't even see the attraction, but I am not against anyone simply because they are in some way better than I am or perceived as better. I'm sure others can say the same.

          That was my all inclusive way to cover what you were saying. I NEVER said he is better than I am. He clearly ISN'T! I simply said in SOME way better than I am, or perceived as such. I don't think ANY group of women have fawned over me for being super attractive, as they, and YOU, have this guy. In THAT way, he is at least PERCEIVED as being better than I am. But THAT is not why I hate the idea of the fawning.

          If two people are say 40yo and kids seem to love them, and one is a NICE person and would love to help them, and the other is a pervert that would only hurt them, I would respect the first, and dislike the attention the second is getting. But it is not because I in some way feel cheapened by it.

      In another thread, I did make a silly incomprehensible joke about his looks -- to defy the masses, not to dis him per se -- that said more about how weird I am than it did about him. From what I could discern, he doesn't seem so bad. Had a criminal past, cleaned up his act, has a family, but was caught with a fire-arm that he didn't legally own. Whatever. The whole reaction to his online photo lead to his contract with an agent who latches onto people who are being noticed on the public radar due to fame's cousin -- notoriety. The incident shows how weird society is and little about him, someone who got caught up in a bizarre societal flash current.

        18US Code ss922 d1 says that such a person may not be sold, or sell, guns or ammo. g1 says that such may not be transported. I HAVE heard of people being arrested for mere possession, so maybe I am missing something else, though there is a passage that seems to cover possession if caught by a leo.

          Maybe so, but in the scheme of things, this is a minor incident. Why is this guy in the news? From what I can tell, he is a former criminal caught with a gun he didn't legally own, apparently for self-protection (which could be justified logically if not legally if his circumstances presented danger to himself and his family). Is this extraordinary news? Is it all about his pretty face? It all makes me laugh just thinking about it.

      I would be interested to know what would you think if this poor lost lamb went on to kill someone close to you after all he is convicted for possession of a firearm. So just because he is good-looking he is a lost soul that somehow things went terribly wrong for him but if he was ugly then he would have been the scum of the earth ?.

      Don't get me wrong i do believe in second-chances but if you are involved in a crime you should be punished for it and if that crime somehow manages to makes your life easier (like it did this guy's) you should be punished double for it to set an example for the society but hey, maybe thats just me.

        The US is full of people who carry firearms and this guy has never been convicted of a violent crime. Never. How the cops manage to get 11 firearms charges and over $1M in bail for one firearm carried in the trunk of his car with 1 round of ammo and 2 magazines is beyond me. He wasn't actually committing a crime with the firearm. He's simply not allowed to have one because he is an convicted felon.

            All we know about the teardrop is that it is a tattoo, he has one, and we're aware of the implied meaning. He has not been accused of or found guilty of murder.

              Yes I agree, I'm just saying over here at least, if you have that tattoo and you go down, you really do not want a soul knowing you haven't done it.

              What I mean is, if it's like that there, with all the publicity he getting and no sign of any murders going on, he may be in trouble inside.

    Seems that people miss the fact that in the US, "felon" doesn't always mean that someone is a criminal.

    I rented a room from a "felon" once. He was a "murderer". He was working at a casino and was putting money away one night and a guy with a gun broke in so he shot him in self defense. The guy was a local sheriff's cousin - and had been tormenting local women for years without arrest - so he spent 14 years in prison for protecting himself from a monster. He is a "felon" now.

    Our prisons are for profit and our police forces are corrupt beyond reason.

    When I hear "felon" I want to know the story.

      You are certainly right there. Of course I have several reasons for believing that is not the case here.

      You see shows like "law and order" and the like, and WOW! They don't even TRY to hide it. I KNOW this happens because of what I have heard, how I have been treated, shows like "forensic files", etc.... But there are rules and just a certain LOGIC that should be followed. But NOPE! Their goal is NOT justice, or catching the culprit, or anything of the sort! Their goal is a CONVICTION! EVEN if they must manufacture EVERYTHING!

      It is like a law I heard of here today! A parent may be thrown in jail for up to 5 DAYS for each instance of hooky their child played!!!!!!!!!! One parent recently died in jail! She was given 2 days in jail for a day her child played hooky. She DIED on the first day. They suspect it was NOT due to an attack, but they have still not done an autopsy.

      If I were king, I might want to throw the CHILD in jail for 7 days! NO TV or games! He or she would have to learn all that was to be taught for the next 9 days(since 2 days would be on a weekend)! I bet THAT would cause hookies to drop! But the callers and host said the reason for the concern was NOT to teach the child, but rather get the money from the state.

      I ALSO said, in another thread, that a large "insurance policy" on a child doesn't mean the beneficiary had any nefarious motive, and showed WHY. Sometimes the ill will is from the INSURANCE AGENT.

    Another Hot Mug Shot Guy Update

    He pleaded guilty to one charge of possession of a firearm while being a felon instead of the 11 or trumped up gang related charges that the prosecutor was going for. Got 2 years, so with time spent and good behavior, it will be interesting to see if he does actually pursue a modeling career when he gets out.

      By bringing this up again you just perpetuate this phenomenon that some people will get very undeserved attention based on such a superficial notion.

      Why keep giving this Low Life criminal a Platform of any kind ?

        Do you not see how judgmental you are? Do you know this guy? He quit gangs years before this arrest. He had a gun in his trunk and nothing more. He's never been convicted of a violent crime.

        Personally, I would love to see him get a modeling gig and do spectacularly well and be a true inspirational story for others in gangs or in trouble. But I'm a firm believer in second and third chances, particularly when no violent crimes have been committed.

        I wish him well.
