LG Display has developed an 18-inch (45cm) flexible display that can be rolled into the shape of a thin cylinder, a step toward making a large display for flexible TVs.
It means LG Display could produce TVs that are larger than 50 inches diagonally and can be rolled up.
Short article with interesting pics.

Just what the world needs - a TV you can roll up and take anywhere.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

More so than a piece of paper that you can smash like a TV?

Interesting. That could be of use for trade shows and the like. Light weight. Easy travel.

Yes, only a matter of time before they release a huge rollup tv, and some college students, play some porno, video with it on a train!

Probably end up on the news, in 2020!

      Unfortunately!

1980's? The internet was just starting up back then: not sure if it was corrupted, by porn, as it is now!

Give your child an iPad, with all the porn locks possible and ask them to type in ever dirty word, or spinoff possible, virtually guaranteed they will dredge up something nasty!

The internet is a shiny Apple on the outside, and rotten on the inside!

I think those thin TVs are cool.

You could have the TV mounted in a custom made picture frame on the wall.
