What Are The WORST Songs Of All Time?

We had the sad song thread, so why not go with the ugliest, worstest (is that a word?), nails scratching chalkboard tunes?

There are a few that I can't stand, but here are two that stand out BIG off the top of my head.

1. Muskrat Love - America, Captain & Tenille (projectile barf!)

2. Lovin' You - Minnie Ripperton (when she hits that high note my blood pressure hits new highs)

Everyone share your list of worst songs. Note: I'm mostly focusing on rock, pop, Christian, alternative and country as I don't really listen to anything else.

Joe, there have been a lot of songs over the years that I didn't care for. Worst? That's kind of hard to say. It's all a matter of taste. One man's "worst" is another man's "I can listen to that all day."

But here's a short list of my personal "worst" though this is by no means all inclusive or indicative of these actually being the songs I dislike the most. They're just the ones of many that I can think of right now.

    Jungle Fever - The Chakachas
    Puppy Love - Donny Osmond
Sweet And Innocent - Donny Osmond
I'm Too Sexy - Right Said Fred
    Trogladyte - Jimmy Castor Bunch

I'll stop there because this subject just isn't worth anymore of my time than I've already given it.

That's the truth Steve. I can't listen to Carly Simon or James Taylor without my skin crawling. So my list would include anything by those two.

There have been a lot of bad songs - too many to pick a "worst" one. On my list though, would be:

    - Paradise by the Dashboard Lights - Meatloaf
    - Two Out of Three Ain't Bad - Meatloaf
    - Tiptoe through the Tulips - Tiny Tim
    - Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones
    - Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley

Those are the first ones that came to mind. There are undoubtedly many others I wouldn't mind if I never heard them again.

Holy smokes, never in a million years would I believe a human being would actually think 'Sympathy for the Devil' was one of the worst songs ever written and performed.

      Wow. Unreal

Yep, when l hear her sing, "The Greatest Love of All" at the shopping centre, l cringe!

I think well if you do love yourself that much, then why did you become a crack head and drown in your own bathtub?

They need to remove and bury that song, it is just hollow lyrics!

Yep, they did Hi way to Heaven, countless times, on the Micheal Denton show, some were funny, and hmmm.

Speaking as a Muskrat, I don't support this inter-specis stuff either.

He made a part 2? Say it ain't so!

The worst thing he did was expose the world to his kid. Billy Ray has actually done a lot of good things for people in need. He seems like a really nice guy from what I've seen. On the other hand, I can't stand Miley or anything she does.

Unfortunately... he did. He even mentioned "The Wrecking Ball, Miley and Twerking" in this song.

“Miley keeps twerkin', Daddy's song is workin', now Billy sing that crazy hook again. Wrecking Ball!"

I agree with you about "Who let the dogs out", but I like a lot of PearlJam's music. I don't, however, like "Last Kiss", unlike some others here. I was living up there when the Seattle scene first broke and got to see a few bands, including Nirvana. I didn't see Pearljam until they came here, though.

    Don't be so mean.

In high school we had a talent show and a girl did Lovin' You and every time she hit that high note everyone fell out laughing.

Pearl Jam rocks but that Rebecca Black song is terrible! I gotta say I liked Fly Robin Fly as a kid growing up and I don't mind Who Let the Dogs out or I'm Too Sexy either. I could name what I believe to be terrible country songs from here to tomorrow...nope, not a big fan of many country artists!
