Yeah, the guys that told him he would never walk unassisted again were IDIOTS! He was doing SO much to do what he did that, outside of possibly a hurt back which COULD possibly be fixed or overcome, his ability to walk unassisted was a GOOD possibility. BESIDES, at 300pounds a LOT of people would have problems! That seems to be about what the joints can generally handle and many that push it seem to have related issues. What probably happened was his back got hurt, he got crutches to ASSIST, and gained weight as his activity went down. The video shows him strengthening the muscles to stabilize himself, and also him losing weight. If he STILL had a hurt back, the yoga like exercise helped strengthen muscles around it to help mitigate the problem.

You should have seen me when I got my cast off my leg. My foot felt like it was on FIRE when I put weight on it. If I relied on crutches then, I would likely be an invalid today. The same thing could have happened later when I hurt my back and gained weight.

But I LOVE the part where he was running at the end. Yeah, I have a short term goal to lose a fair amount of weight in the next 2 weeks, and this was a good reminder.
