Quick Paypal question

If i have a Verified PayPal & Ebay and I sell $5,000 worth of stuff in one day and at this point i have $5,000 in my PayPal and spend it on random things say between five transactions. Then one week later there is a dispute opened on me for not shipping ...

Will my balance then be NEGATIVE $5,000 or will they refund all of the purchases I did?

I have a bet with a buddy, Would love to hear your answers. thx

    Well, they would have to hold the amount in dispute and they would likely hold some minor amount over that. If that doesn't reach $5000, I doubt all your money would be in danger. This is just an educated guess based on reason and on how things have been handled elsewhere, other than paypal, in the past. ALSO, rules can change based on the country you live in.

    But HAVE you shipped, etc? It is best if they find you are a reliable vendor.

      Paypal doesn't manage your money for you - so if you have a deficit....you have a negative.

      As Steve said, though, they often impose a waiting period before you can spend money....to give time for shipment to arrive and for disputes, too.

      IF you have transferred the money to your bank - I've heard of paypal reversing the transfer...but never heard of them cancelling other, non related transactions if they had already been processed.

    A verified PayPal account? Tied to a bank card and a bank account?

    No, your PayPal account will not go negative. They, PayPal will "hit" your card for the difference.
