It's such a pleasure hearing about kindness nowadays, there's so much negativity in the world and with the internet we're bombarded with it 24/7.

      Thanks for posting!

I totally agree , i always go out of my way when im in the city to speak with or give food to homeless people.

Not the drug addicted alcoholic types but the ones who are in genuine need.

As i know if the shoe was on the other foot then having a complete stranger come up to me and speak with me for a few mins or offer some food would be really nice and make the day go by abit easier.

i encourage everyone to show a complete stranger a random act of kindness , it will make you feel good and help them more.

What you say hits me kind of strange.Drug addicted, alcoholic types need help as much as anyone else, imho

Offering lunch to a homeless person or one that is addicted to drugs seems to be both worthy and a good thing to do.

I agree...my experience with drunks and drug addicts in Frankfurt when drunk or high, is that they only want their next "fix".

I meet this American woman when i first moved here and she approached me at the train station and told me she just had been robbed...so i helped to make a call, along with a train fair and some money for her apparent train ride to Holland to get a flight back to the states...a few days later i see here smoking crack in Frankfurt and going crazy on the street, when that happens its disappointing, i would rather that they tell the truth rather than than lie and hide it, these it these types i wont help as any help given normally results in it being throw back in your chance.

I hear you Clarke. I can see how frustrating that can be.

Here is the way I look at it. If I see a guy on the side of the road and he has a sign that says he needs money because he is homeless and a War veteran and hungry.

Well, I will give him money. I know he could be a con man. But even if 1 out of 10 people that I give money to are the real deal then I think I have done good. Even if the other 9 were just liars.

Because helping that one legit person could mean the difference in saving his Life and potentially others around him. So to me that one person is worth it......like I said even if I have to be cheated out by the other 9 losers

Maybe its crazy but it is how I see things
