For me its my iPhone 5s.
Despite its flaws, its an astonishing little device.

If you want to buy a phone best wait for the new iPhone 6.

      Steve,

      You are spot on....

For sheer volume, it would have to be one of the Android phones...

Which specific model at this very moment? Since the numbers change daily, that is an excellent question.

This, otherwise you'll get a lot of people telling you what phone they have and that it's the best.

Or you get people saying things like 'good asking'.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

That's true and that's why the iPhone 6+ is the best phone that money can buy! :-)

I'm personally a fan of Apple so iPhone 5s

The android market is too saturated that they kept on producing more and more phones trying to outdo each other it gets a little /annoying/ at some point.

Well, some specialists or experts, depending on their own biases, will pick the smart phone they like the best. I've seen some pick the iPhone 6. Others will pick the Moto X, while I've seen others pick the Samsung Galaxy or Note. No matter how objective they try to make their conclusions, it always comes off subjective to me.

When it comes to smart phone purchases, I make sure I take them for a test drive before I buy them. The easiest way that I do this is simply playing around with my friend's phones. There are lots of features that I like from all of them. I have a buddy of mine who absolutely loves the newest HTC One (really it's the 2nd or 3rd incarnation) and he absolutely detests the iPhone (he has no rational reason for disliking the iPhone, I think he just doesn't like fanboys lol).

In the end, I have gone back to the iPhone because it suits my needs the best. It's very intuitive to use, it does everything I need, and it's OS is extremely stable compared to some of the other phones that I've used.

Given how rapidly the mobile-phone market changes, all the time, this thread must be good for a bump and some more conversation at least 2-3 times per year, anyway?

I hated my Samsung Galaxy so when the battery died I switched back to Nokia, to the Lumia 530 and, now I am used to it, it does well for me. I don't use many of its functions. In fact I have the net turned off 99% of the time. But this one doesn't turn itself off all the time and has bigger screen and keys.

Sorry to question this but what exactly are these life saving things the Iphone 6 does that no phone before has managed to do?

Does it come with a blow up doll or something?

The launch of the iPhone 6 helped Apple increase its share of the smartphone OS market in eight countries, according to a report from research firm Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.
For the three months ending in November 2014, iOS’s market share grew in the U.S., Germany, the U.K., China, France, Australia, Italy and Spain. Sales were weaker in only one of the surveyed countries, Japan, where Apple’s share fell by 15.3 percentage points. The decrease wasn’t due to a lack of interest in the iPhone 6, which went on sale globally last September. Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo began carrying the iPhone in 2013, a move that gave iPhone sales a special boost that year, Kantar said.

In the U.S., the iPhone 6 was the best-selling smartphone during the survey period, capturing 19 percent of smartphone sales, Kantar said. More than half—57 percent—of iPhone sales were generated by Verizon and AT&T.

In Europe, the iPhone 6 launch impacted Android the most in the U.K., where sales were down by 6.7 percentage points while iPhone sales increased by 12.2 percentage points.
