BMW vs Benz vs Range Rover - What should I buy?

So internet marketing is buying us a new car. Here are the choice.

The BMW

    I think that as a good marketer, you should "split-test" them and see which one suits your needs better and/or which one you feel better driving. For me it would be dead easy (though I'll doubtless be in a minority camp): I'd take the Indian one - in spite of its size - in preference to either of the German ones.

        Having just sold my E 500 wagon Mercedes and having had a range rover in the past, I would have to say neither. The best rig I've owned so far was a Cadillac Escalade ESV.

        Now, I'm not going to say I 'liked" it more than my H-1 Alpha Hummer, but it's 1/4 the price. (The real hummer, not the H-2 soccer mom car).

        But, if you really want one of these take the Rover. Owning a German car out of warranty is pricey. I just put 6k into the struts and air bladder suspension components with labor. And 2 months ago $2.100 for new high end brakes and rotors.

        Just for fun have a look at the Escalade. Once you drive it, it may surprise you.

        You're asking for 2 cents and got 3.

        At OP, of course it's your preference and maintenance/warranty issues might be a consideration.
        Also, do you live near a good mechanic shop who actually works on any of those vehicles (unless you do your own work)? I do not live near a good Rover mechanic (BMW or Mercedes for that matter) and in the past have waited 3 days for a foreign car part to be shipped.

        That being said, of the three, I'd go for the Rover. But, I like truckish vehicles more than cars because of the better ground clearance and ability to see far down the road to anticipate traffic.

      I've heard the resale value on Rovers leaves a lot to be desired.

      I agree about the Escalade.

      Looks like you made a good choice though.
