Just introducing myself. I've been around a long time on countless forums under various nicks. I enjoy chatting and working with smart people.

Since I'm new to this community I'll offer up one of my best tips: it's good to get out of the SEO/affiliate/IM mind set and just think about ideas and business. Go to Startups [reddit] and brain storm. Look at the right hand column where it says "Share your start up". There is a discussion archived for every month. Tons of ideas and good advice. You can always use your IM skills to leverage a good idea.

    Thanks for the share. I would offer . . . if you have a great idea, be careful not to share too much unless you know that you're not going to develop the idea further. Twice I have had business ideas copied (a more accurate description would be "ripped off") shortly after I put up web sites and began to promote.

  • Thanks for the great advice NobleSavage.. I didn't know about that resource.

    I too am more business minded and am looking to have more conversations with people who don't have to 'hide their niche' so they can exchange real advice besides the average things you hear most of the time.

    I don't know.. an idea is a dime a dozen.. if it's that easy to launch first just because the idea slipped then it may not be such a great idea... there should be some elements of unique talents involved in making it happen.
    Of course positioning and being first is so important..
