Earning dem Dollars? Might wanna keep em!

As I'm from the UK, I've always hated the fact that the pound beats out the dollar. My affiliate income has always been dominated by Amazon Affiliates, with my biggest earning months being around $7,000 per month.

When converted into pounds, I almost feel like moving over to the States... Right now, it's sitting on £0.60 per dollar. Previously, it went as low as £0.57.

This has been a trend. If I remember rightly, back in 2007 or something, the dollar was very close to the pound..

Now though, I see the dollar improving month-on-month. I work full-time in a top 200 fast-track oil/gas company as the marketing manager. I like to stay up-to-date on the oil & gas industry as a whole.

The US is producing far more oil than it previously did, thus reducing their costs on imports. I've also just read a great article on the dollar increasing in value dramatically by mid-2015.

I would not expect the dollar to lose value at all at this point. And so, for those who get paid in Dollars, it may be a damn wise investment to keep them as Dollars until mid 2015. From now until then, I'll probably pick up around $30,000 from Amazon Affiliates. A mere £0.10 raise on the dollar with that could bring me an extra £3,000 just for holding back.

Food for thought. Any comments?

How about a if the dollar goes the other way £0.10? You just lost $3G. Now you need it to go up .20 to make that extra 3G.

How long will you be willing to sit to wait to access your cash for an extra $3G? Especially if it doesn't go as planned.

Fair point, but I don't think anybody is expecting the Dollar to drop even further. Perhaps Iraq/Israel could put a financial burden on the States, but the Oil industry is definitely growing phenomenally.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!
