  But ouch for the injustice in taking away my right to a signature if that is the reason! According to the forums own sticky - we are all mods here - and - to further strengthen my arguement: I'm well known to mod/customize everything I own.
  
  Besides, I do actually mod the forum - there has been 10 spammers hit the forums in the last couple of days alone - posting junk about how they can sort out fake passports, green cards and other illegal acts - I was the first to post telling them to stop it before they get IP banned - I was the first to report the post.
  
  How annoying - I take on responsibility, as advised in the forums sticky - and get penalized for it.
  
  Couldn't the forum owners just drop me a PM and ask me to change my signature - I'm not here to be a problem or break the rules... I wasn't aware I broke any either.

  Yes, we are. But only in the sense that we can report posts that violate forum rules to help the official moderators, who have the power to delete those posts, among other capabilities.
  
  So, if your signature said "I mod the forums", then it was 1) completely unnecessary and 2) may have given other members the impression that you're one of the official WF moderators, as opposed to a "member moderator".

  Your job as a "member moderator" is not to warn spammers by responding to their posts. That just bumps their thread and gives it the very attention they want. What you are supposed to do is simply click on the red triangle and report those posts to the designated mods. The most likely reason you were the first to post and tell them to stop is because most members here know to not do that. Warning spammers is a complete waste of time. They know exactly what they're doing; not to mention, a lot of those are generated by bots.

Did you read the signature rules? There are other ways to get your signature removed.
1. Spamming the forum with "see my signature" to self promote
2. Making a bunch of useless one liner posts for signature exposure
3. Promoting an affiliate offer in your signature

SIGNATURE FILE RULES

(1) Maximum length of sig file is 5 lines which includes any blank lines used for spaces.

(2) You are only permitted 1 color in your sig file, this can be any color so long as it's black (hyper links can be blue as they come up this way on the board)

(3) Sig files may only be written in the normal standard font size.

(4) You may bold or italicize but that's it.

(5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

(6) Anyone Caught Promoting The Same Site/Offer Will Be Deleted. Program owners are telling their members to come here and make posts to promote their offer in their sig files. This has caused tons of useless messages to be posted and it is clogging up the forum. Anyone caught doing this will have to be removed. This is not an ad forum - it is a discussion forum.

We have no problem with someone linking to their WSO within their sig.

Due to certain people trying to find a loophole I needed to add yet another edit. Please do not try to get around these rules by getting your own domain name and simply redirecting it to an affiliate program. You Will Be Removed From Here When Caught.

A simple way to stay within this rule is this:

Promote Your Own Real Web Site And Do Not Listen To Anyone Who Tells You To Come Here Just To Promote A Site They Created For You.

I believe the only way to get some assistance with that would be to contact those with the power to take away and reinstate sigs, as none of us here can do anything about it.

Have you tried contacting the help desk with your plea?

It shows up. You probably have it in your User CP not to show signatures. Just go in there under Settings and Options > Edit Options and check Show signatures

Lol that's fine. My site already gets around 3-4k unique visitors daily, is ranked in the top 200k worldwide and 30k in the US on Alexa and I'm pretty certain when Google does it's next update it'll be ranked much better, so I'm not really stressing backlinks. I just added one in my sig cause it's allowed lol

I hold my stance: there is no mistake in my avatar.

Although I'm not going to lie, I didn't even spot weapon was spelled wrong! Shame on me.

And ofcourse I gave you an infraction, you insulted my race, over a joke about language, which all started with YOU getting a word wrong (by saying the mistake was within my avatar) - then you go on to insult my language, which is that of mine and your forefathers - you're language actually comes from the work of my forefathers that you mock and insult.

But you know, it's all fun and games, swings and round-a-bouts. Up's and down's - extreme one's by some the claims you people have made.

Americans are famously patriotic and proud to be American, which is different to being English. We English too are often proud and patriotic, but we are different - and we should respect each other's differences. Not mock much much younger forum members about spelling and the language of his forefathers.

Wars have been fought over this stuff - the woman insulted my forefathers, I gave her an infraction, hardly dropped a bomb. That's the end of it. This shouldn't go on further, let's just stop it here before some idiot starts splurting out racial slurs and insults about a deep human history they barely understand.

Though to be frank - my spelling is shocking today - I have to keep editing my post's because I keep seeing silly little typo's.

  The indigenous people of Australia were (and still are) correctly referred to as Aborigines. The word aboriginal means indigenous.

Umm, now you're doing it. I'll have you know that I am one of those , er, "Indians". My Grandfather was full blooded Cherokee Indian and I'm proud of it. I don't have a problem with that at all, otherwise, I wouldn't exist as me.

Secondly, the Americans didn't discover this land that already had people living on it and then call them Indians. That was the your beloved English forefathers who later declared themselves Americans after they revolted from England's rule, desiring freedom rather than tyranny.

Excuse me for butting in..........but --- nobody in here in the OT gives a rat about what race someone is. When we insult - it's a purely personal slam on the particular individual and we don't hold anyone else of the slammed person's race accountable for the slammed person's slammability or assume they are equally defunct.

Wow, don't think I've ever seen a thread quite like this... interesting. Had to do a hard reset on my computer yesterday, so looks like I missed all the fun.

I thought that was the name of the game? A bit of banter... I was taking it too seriously, so now I'm joining in - why not?

As for escaping tyranny - your bunch were doing OK until you assassinated Kennedy in favour of banking cartels. (Don't worry again, our bunch done the same thing...)

(When I say you I don't mean "you" I mean "american history folks", same as when I say "we" I'm talking about "English history" which I'm not proud of!)

But on a global scale we are all in this madness together! City of London + Washington D.C + Vatican. (City-State's - Different laws and all that funny business....)

This thread isn't a "new" type. This is OT the way the OT used to be. We used to keep spammers out by roasting them over open flames until they were a toasty black and too embarrassed to come back. We bantered in ways that made some scared to enter at all. Kept the live spam to a minimum. Cheers to the real OT - it's still alive and long may it live.
