I've told my son that monsters exist but don't look like zombies -- most of them are normal looking men (including "respectable" pillars of the community) and some of them are women.

    What a strange story. I can't imagine how a stranger would "lure" a 9 yr old out of her own bedroom window. That's frightening.

        I don't know how he could have lured her. This is a 9-year-old-girl who, my wild unreliable guess would be, is probably somewhat more psychologically vulnerable than other girls her age. I remember as a wee elementary school student of around 9 years old, how these two old guys the school had hired to watch kids (!) would constantly pick up little girls and kiss them and the girls let them do it. (I told one of those dirty old men that he's a pervert and he replied, "No. Perverts like little boys.")

        I don't know Kay. I have heard predators using puppies and other small animals. Some have even asked a child to come with them to help them find their "lost" animal.

        I too am stumped as to how a man could lure a child out of a window like this.

    Adults get duped sometimes. I'm sure duping a child under the age that their logical facilities haven't kicked in yet isn't all that much rocket science for a pervert. Psychopaths are pretty intelligent for the most part.

    When I was at the crisis center, we worked with victims - but we put a LOT of focus on teaching children to protect and defend themselves just for this very purpose.
