        When it comes to Amazon - I have had the BEST customer service found online. When you consider the size of the company and the volume of business done....it's amazing.

          That is amazing . Most large companies seem to do poorly. When I deal with Comcast, I get different answers each time I call for the same issue. All I am trying to do is get more power cords for the hotel's cable TV boxes (they burn out). Sometimes really good (rarely) and usually really bad, but different responses each time.

          Also, we just had a bad experience with a large home health care company. They just started handling their calls through a national US based call center. You call the local number and it goes to this center. My 82 year old customers had a tough time getting their oxygen ordered for their vacation. The incorrect amount of oxygen was delivered and it took several calls and another day to get the additional tanks they needed. The empties were supposed to be picked up last Wednesday. After two phone calls, I'm still waiting for them to be picked up.

            Tell me about it! I am using my phne as a hotspot, IN MY HOME, because comcast internet is down AGAIN!

            ANOTHER of my pet peeves. I call the local number for a place which is the ONLY PLACE ON THE PLANET that can help me! I go to a LOT of trouble to get that number. My call gets forwards to some "national number" that may even be a place in INDIA! They TRY to confuse and lie, to make you think they are local and EVENTUALLY, realizing there is NO way they can do what you want, they say "You have to call the LOCAL number.". Patiently, I wait for them to give me the "local number", and it is the SAME number I called! Their "solution" is often to just keep calling and playing russian roulette! I guess that is OK if you are home, fed, comfortable, using a land line, have a good speaker phone, and have plenty of time.

            Oh well. I learned a LONG time ago that if you find out a person needs to have a message within 1 hour, or half the world will be blown up by a nuclear bomb, and the other half will be infected by a virus leading to the demise of all creatures, and your best friend is dying of a poison that ONLY the person you are trying to reach can treat, that you NEVER use the word emergency on the phone! I did that once to emphasize that it was important that I reach a person when talking with an operator, and she connected me with the fire department!
