What's Your Preferred Way To Relax?

People find it hard to believe that the career of an online marketer can be stressful. We work from home, sometimes have nice toys, sometimes have nice incomes, and all the time avoid many of the unpleasantness of your standard career: arduous commutes, bosses, ageism, deadlines, set hours. But stress does occur. Of course, stress for us doesn't have to originate from financial origins. Take me for example: I juggle a great many projects and my involvement in each one comes with responsibilities that must be met.

Here are 10 things I do to de-stress:

1. Organize my business, methodically.
2. Chat on forums like WF
3. Take walks
4. Read
5. Take time out with the family and personal time just for me
6. Write novels, short stories, and screenplays
7. Run my hobby platforms (websites, FB pages)
8. Chat to my mother
9. Work out
10. Throw on a video game

How about you?

It's so weird to me, that I didn't put that together when writing it. Probably the funniest thing I'll read today.

            Baaaaaaaa!

I had saved up my last penny for the new and improved, Lady, Sub creature from Chez Republic, and you tell me that!!!!!

Damn, l had my bathroom laced with thick plastic and sharp knives at the ready, what am l going to do now?

She even has a fake blood reservoir, for authenticity, but that idea is binned now, Baaaaa, haaaaaaaa!

Oh, well let's hope that Maccers brings the Stab Riffle one out, they have sold out in AU, apparently.

Yes, l will go to the drive through, and say l would like the Riffle Vo Do Doll, with optional blood reservoir, then find a dark alley, before going on a stabbing frenzy, but in a nice way!

I may have to put the Lady, "Sub creature from Chez Republic", doll on standy!

Several of your ways of de-stressing are computer-based, the same place you get your stress from. I would think getting away from the computer would be better. Plus, using a computer a lot causes eye strain (computer vision syndrome). You need to get away from the computer to prevent that.

Dennis -- you're quite right. I'm told the same thing by family. It's very difficult for me because part of my life revolves around MMO and the other revolves around being a novelist. I'm forever late with writing deadlines and a lot of the time I just have no choice but to plonk down and get on with it. Still, though, you are right. I do like fishing, boating, camping, but once I do those I'm out for the whole day. I'll have to give it some thought!
