New Paypal Control Panel

Does anyone like the new Paypal control panel? I played around with it for a little bit, but seem to like the classic panel more. Do you like the new one, if so why?

  • Everybody i have met and most people here love the old look except me.
  • I wasn't a big fan of the new one right from the beginning - it changed some of my settings and at first I thought I had lost a load of money (my account is in £ and it erased the $ currency - so all my $'s looked like they'd gone - until I realised and opened a $ balance again)

It all got sorted out after a few minutes searching. I still prefer the old one though.
  • I haven't checked it out yet. As long as I can find stuff. I have a hell of a time finding my recurring payment activity and options in the old interface.
  • Definitely the old interface better - but I wonder how much of that is a function of just knowing where everything was in the old interface without having to read and search. It's like going to the grocery store and they move everything on the shelves so you have to look for what you want . . . hoping you'll find more stuff to buy in the process.
  • I like it.. Like anything it is okay once you get used to it.
  • I'm surprised people aren't crying the sky is falling, and paypal is dead, thats usually what happens when people make some changes.

I don't use paypal for anything, but I did check it out and I like the way it looks
  • I quite like it! It seems a lot clearer to me... But maybe that is just because it is more flashy!

  • Yeah, it seems great to me. No complaints.
  • Personally, I like it, but as for there new logo.... it looks like it was designed in MS Paint!

  • I use the classic version as it is better for me.
  • Still getting use to the new one but only used it a few times.
  • I have the classic control panel on my more active PayPal account and the new on my lesser used account, so I can get use to it for a little bit. I am sure in a few months the classic will no longer be an option. I like the look and the functions of the classic.
  • Which version of the interface you see depends on what features are active in your account. Mine hasn't been updated in many many years; Pro accounts have reporting sections and such that didn't get any attention in the last design update either. I'm a bit curious what you're all seeing.

  • Not sure why they would fix something that was working fine.

I like working with familiar things and don't want to invest the time into something new.

I stuck with the older control panel on Paypal as long as possible as each new system takes some time to learn.

At some point, they forced me to accept the newly updated control panel and now that's the only thing available.

Like all new things, I will become accustomed to this one too and learn to think of it as normal.

Until then, I share the dislike for the new control panel on Paypal and hope that it does not cause too many problems.
  • I don't like much change. So, I hate the new look. It just looks unprofessional.
  • I like it, it's easier to track clients and earnings for me.
  • I haven't noticed any difference at all.
  • The things that were hard to find before, such as your recurring payments, are still hard to find. It might be more modern looking, but the usability it still very poor, IMO.
  • Until you adopt the new one, old is always good.

    • My understanding was that a User Interface was to get you where you want to go in the least amount of clicks. That is not so with the new look and it has very little navigation help.
I still prefeer the old (classical) UI
