Once upon a time, I read that Dan Kennedy had a client who sold sheds. He collected from his clients photos and descriptions as to how they used them. So, it ended up sounding like he was selling more than sheds...

    storage rooms
    kids summer play rooms

Also, your website needs improvement... testimonials, proof you're respectable, the real thing, reasons to buy from you not from one of your competitors... Or pass.

And, why are the photos the same on several pages?

And the writing is not easy on the eyes.

First and for most you have a marketing disconnect. You ARE YoderSHEDS. but you are selling barns.

#2 whoever came up with your "Keywords" should be shot! Porche 911? and this... "
Lofted Barn Cabin Plans Lofted Barn Cabin Lofted Barn Kits Derksen Lofted Barn Cabin Side Lofted Barn Metal Building Cabins with Loft Lofted Storage Sheds Barns N More Utility Buildings Utility Shed Plans Utility Shed Lowe's Utility Buildings Utility Sheds for Sale Back Yard Barns Rock Hill SC Mast Utility Barns Barnyard Buildings Porsche 911 Porsche Cars Screened Porch Front Porch Country Porch Porch Decor Porch Designs Porch Construction Shed Plans with Porch Storage Sheds with a Porch Screened Porch Shed Roof Garden Sheds with Porches Outdoor Sheds with Porches Sheds with Front Porches Sheds with Porches Design Sheds with Porches for Sale Old Barns Horse Barns Amish Barns Barn Plans Country Farm Barn Plans Pottery Barn Coupons Pole Barn Plans Pole Barns Oregon Lofted Barn Cabin Plans Lofted Barn Cabin Lofted Barn Kits Derksen Lofted Barn Cabin Side Lofted Barn Metal Building Cabins with Loft Lofted Storage Sheds Barns N More Utility Buildings Utility Shed Plans Utility Shed Lowe's Utility Buildings Utility Sheds for Sale Back Yard Barns Rock Hill SC Mast Utility Barns Barnyard Buildings Porsche 911 Porsche Cars Screened Porch Front Porch Country Porch Porch Decor Porch Designs Porch Construction Shed Plans with Porch Storage Sheds with a Porch Screened Porch Shed Roof Garden Sheds with Porches Outdoor Sheds with Porches Sheds with Front Porches Sheds with Porches Design Sheds with Porches for Sale Old Barns Horse Barns Amish Barns Barn Plans Country Farm Barn Plans Pottery Barn Coupons Pole Barn Plans Pole Barns Oregon yoder storage yoder storage buildings barns in ga porched lofted barns" that is a single keyword string.. JUST STUPID!

#3 Next to each and every product description you should have your phone number.
#4 Next to each product there should be a link to the custom add ons.
#5 the "First Step" on your homepage "Think about what you have to spend, and what you need your monthly budget to be and we will do our very best to see what building we can get you in....." You are without intention shooting yourself in the foot. I would be approaching the "There is no such thing as to big, there is only to small." "A Shed for every Budget" if you had to. but to tell a consumer "Think about what you can spend"?
#6 Overall your page design is short of bad.
#7 the images are terrible. you would be better off with All white backgrounds on the images than what you have.
#8 the message "We will respond back to you within 2 bussniess days" ( business is mis-spelled Im originally from SC so I can say this.. Are you that southern slow that it is going to take you 2 days to try and close a deal to make money? The e-mail goes to your phone right? You will respond within an Hour by God!

No offense but the whole thing looks like a 5th grade school project ( And the school is in Mississippi ) I cant even call it a train wreck, because it was never on the tracks... maybe a small bus wreck?

You can build a hella nice looking shed, you need to employ someone that can make you a hella nice looking website.

      Have a great day Ya'll

Study ClearSpan's website at www.ClearSpan.com for ideas. Also, request their catalog so you can see the type of marketing they do.

Savidge had some excellent points. Why in the world would it take you 2 days to respond to an inquiry?? Your prospects could probably call up a competitor and have a full shed made within the two days it takes you to contact them.

From a consumers perspective I would like to know what kind of metal you
      are using for the roof.

      Is is .29ga, .26ga, .24ga.
Is the sheeting galvanized or galvalume ?
Is the roof nailed down or is it screwed down ?
Does it have a polyester paint coating or is it a premium paint coating such as
Kynar 500 << Up sell at an additional cost..

What about roof insulation? Most home owners hate to deal with insulation.

You could easily add that as a up sell. WMPVR or PVR insulation would only take you a few minutes to install as your installing the roof panels.

Your cost should run about .34 per square foot, depending upon whom you source your material from. If your purchasing your metal from someone like
Homer Depot, don't. Shoot me a pm and I will recommend you a company in Macon you can check out.

Your roll up doors, are they chain hoist or electric ? < Once again you can up sell.

I see no options for skylights. FRP skylights would run you roughly $75 per 12ft light. They can easily be cut into 6ft lengths. It only takes about 5 minutes to install. For each 6 ft skylight you can charge $125 <Up Sell

      .....just a few ideas.

To put this question in perspective when looked at by us imagine our post in your world of builders.

I was brainstorming shed ideas. Here are some of the ideas I came up with. I would love your feedback on them.

          1. Use screws instead of nails, the weather resistant ones.
          2. Get my trusses made for me.
          3. Use a pre-hung door and just frame it in.

          ;-)

Each and every thing you suggested is just as viable as what I suggested BUT there is so much more to it than saying "Oh yes you should absolutely run sponsored ads on Facebook". Every method could work or flop based on approach.

As an example the Facebook ads would pass or fail based on targeting, re marketing, the actual ad, the funnel they are put into etc... Do I believe the average person could do well trying to sell sheds on Facebook? No. Do I believe some of the experts on here could do well? Yes. Do I believe you could do well if you take the time to research it? Hell ya! But be prepared for a ton of time and testing and the possibility that even after you do that, for whatever reason it was not the way to go.

There is NOTHING wrong with you choosing to become an expert in any of these areas, Hec that's why the forum is here. The best way to proceed if that is your choice is to do your research in each area from some of the great threads that already exist in each of your different areas of choice. There are also some great courses for sale. Also just like your site when you have a specific initiative up and running you can get specific pointers on each such as targeting for your Facebook ads as an example.

I took the time to write all that in response to your simple question of feedback wanted because some will say yes it works, some will say no it does not but likely their experience does not really apply to your exact situation and often the how and not the what makes all the difference.

These aren't marketing ideas. They are merely marketing avenues. You need to get inside your customer's head and come up with messaging to spread across those platforms. What you just did was like me going to a cooking forum and saying "I've got some food ideas" and then listing bread, tortillas, and pasta and acting like I did something. You need to dig deeper. The platform doesn't make marketing successful. The message does.

Halloween is coming up. How about a quick guide on how to decorate your shed for Halloween? Sort of like a mini haunted house. It can be an accent piece to people's other lawn decorations.

You could then do the same for every holiday, getting customers to post pictures of their decorated sheds.

You could even have a contest for the best one. Social media seems to love this sort of thing.

              Edit to add:

How about a painting guide for the sheds? You could include color schemes with easily Photoshopped examples. It would give customers ideas about customization which helps them own the product in their minds.

Moving forward, you could have a simple flash program created that could help customers pick out colors and share the result on social media.

From my point of view you don't need us to "keep them coming" with regard to ideas. You first need to clean up what you've got. The poor spelling, grammar, etc. on your site do not instill confidence. You have text of various sizes. Your photo gallery is an empty page. You can find a million ways to get people to your site but why would they buy from you over someone else? Your site doesn't pre-sell for you very well.

My fear is that you take these ideas and get excited and run in a million directions when you clearly lack the copywriting skills to convey a message that makes people want to buy from you. You have plenty of ideas here and you don't need more. Any one of these ideas could prove profitable IF you can execute it with a brand and message that instill confidence in your services.

    Hi Rob

You asked for marketing ideas for sheds but as you can see now people are trying to peak into your marketing system and are making suggestions.

To put it in perspective lets imagine I know nothing about building sheds. I frame my shed with joists randomly spaced, some at 16", some at 30". I slope my roof all wrong and anchor it poorly. I hang the door crooked and have the shed off level. Now I go on a forum of expert shed builders and show them pics of my shed and say "hey guys I am looking for ideas on paint colors. Can imagine the feedback I would get? Well that is where you are with your site.

Marketing ideas are a small part of a marketing system. Hec for all we know you have 10 other ideas in your system that are working for you. TV, radio, referrals, sheds on side of road with big signs

When it comes to online you will indeed get great suggesions on this forum like the one from DABK about lettting the customer imagine how the shed will be used but sadly great marketing ideas end up getting dismissed because they fail due to the system around them.

You need a comprehensive system. A proper site, lead capture system, keyword research, sales copy, sales video with a video spokesperson, some sort of take away that puts prospects into a sales funnel, a follow up series to increase conversions, the list goes on and on.

The bits and pieces you will get here will be like a bunch of sticky notes. No matter how many you get do you really think they will add up to a building plan?

What would it be worth to you to put together a system that trounces your competition for years? A system that after time you know if you spend X driving traffic you get x+Y in profits.

Figure that out, work on a budget and find someone who knows what they are doing.
You will lose much more money in lost sales and profits piecing this together than doing it properly. If I was starting this business I would drop 15k over three months and come out the other end making my competition wondering what the hell happened :-)
