Is it still possible to join groups and send messages to any member of the groups you are part of?

I've read a few people post that they are no longer able to send messages to group members? Is this true?

What has been your experience?

    You can still send messages to other groups members. LinkedIn users have the option to turn this off, but I'd say 99% off them leave it on (or don't know how to turn it off).

    To send a message to a group member you need to:

    1. Go to the specific group

    2. Click "Members" in the sub-menu bar

    3. Click on "send message" under the name of the group member you'd like to send a message.

    Thanks for your input. I read here on the forum and a few other places that it was no longer possible to message group members. Maybe it was just a temporary thing or just a glitch.

      Please give it a try and then report back on how it worked for you. I need to use LinkedIn myself and other then increasing contacts and getting endorsements passively I have not done anything with LinkedIn. I am sure I am missing out on opportunities there. Thanks.

    LinkedIn is kinda like the red headed step child in the social media world. But it's a B2B gold mine. I've been using linked in quite a bit over the passed few weeks & I've already generated a handful of warm leads - i.e. connections who request specific information or have questions about IM.

    Imsolutionsgroup is spot on. There are many ways to build up your LinkedIn. I just started networking on LInkedin and literally have used this method to gain a huge network just a weeks ago. Groups are one way and knowing which ones are extremely valuable. Don't overlook using the power of LInkedIn Pulse as well it gives a lot of visibility to your profile.

    Be active with your posting on some of those groups as well (it only takes about 5 minutes to add a comment to several posts).
