Hello,
I am pretty sure this thread must be there in the forum but I am not able to find it. I am starting a web development business and I will be targeting both small and big companies. Any ideas on sales and marketing? With different types of website out there, what kind of price packages I should offer?

    To get customers, create a website for your services and make it rank for local keyword phrases. Example "web designer new york".

        Me and my team have done web development and let me tell you it is a gut wrenching business unless you have repeat customers instead of a constant stream. Service based business are also hard to scale so that's another downside of it. But I wish you luck nonetheless.

        You can create a portfolio by offering some free services to your friends/ local businesses to showcase on your website

    would be great if somebody stepped through the hoops in no tonly setting up agreat SEOcampaign but set it up so in the future the business can be flipped for a profit there fore increasing a asset, as I am sure people will rinse & repeat to a certain extent!

    Create a portfolio, this will stand as a proof of your good work. Then start advertising through forums, LinkedIn Groups, Reddit, why not Facebook related groups, make a website with a FB page linked, Twitter account, all that social media stuff. You have to be online anywhere and everywhere and have loooots of patience because this type of business grows with time. Good luck!
